Students at Deermeadows Preschool have music class, chapel and a library visit once a week. Our VPK students have access to our in-house Learning Specialist. She is an experienced, certified teacher that works with the children privately or semi-privately to provide intentional guidance and rich experiences that build upon individual strengths and talents, moving the child toward Kindergarten readiness.
Deermeadows Preschool is fortunate to have our very own Resource/ Enrichment Director. She rotates resources (toys, books, manipulatives, puzzles, etc.) weekly for each teacher based on the teacher's lesson plans. Your child will always have new materials available to them in their classroom learning centers.

Services
We are currently placing people on our waitlist. Please email our director at awilson@deermeadows.org for more information. Include your child's name, date of birth, how many days desired, your name, and phone number. Tuition must be up to date in order for the child to continue attendance. A late fee for past due tuition payments is $ 30 and will be charged after the 10th of the month.
At Deermeadows Preschool we use a variety of curriculum resources to teach concepts and meet the developmental needs of our students. Our main curriculum WEE Learn supports best practices, is developed on evidence-based research and is cross-referenced with the Florida Performance Standards.
It recognizes children's individual differences and learning styles and these are considered as they learn through centers and circle times incorporating the current theme.Each day your child will experience new and exciting activities. In addition to that, we utilize early childhood software and manipulatives, as well as teacher-created curriculum and materials.

Providing a strong biblically based age-appropriate curriculum enables each child to develop mentally, physically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Through age appropriate experiences, children develop an appreciation of work, play, and learning. The love of God, love for others and love for themselves.
Our staff is what makes Deermeadows Preschool one of the premier preschools in Jacksonville. They provide a loving, supportive, safe and educational atmosphere. Our preschool teachers are experienced and certified in Early Childhood Education and average over 10 years of teaching. Over half of our staff has been at Deermeadows for over 15 years!
