We believe that every child brings with them a deep curiosity and this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it. It is such a blessing to have my daughter love, and I mean LOVE, going to school! I believe it is because of the positive environment and philosphy at Melrose that has made that possible.
It is such a great community of support and love. I feel so much comfort knowing she is in an environment where she can learn and grow. My daughter absolutely loves going to Melrose and I couldn't be happier. The staff is creative, warm, and loving, they utilize great teaching philosophies, and the leadership is brimming with smarts and enthusiasm.

The Reggio Emilia inspired approach is an inspiring method for early childhood education which values the child as strong, capable, and resilient - rich with wonder and knowledge. Every child brings with them deep curiosity and potential - and this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it.
To a young child, the world is full of materials to touch, discover and explore. To find, collect, sort, and use materials is to embark on a special kind of adventure. For adults, gathering materials means rediscovering the richness and beauty in natural, unexpected, and recyclable objects that are all around us, but not often noticed.
Many people think that the Reggio Emilia inspired approach to education was created by someone named, Mr. Reggio Emilia. But, Reggio Emilia is actually the name of the city in Italy where this educational philosophy was founded by Mr. Loris Malaguzzi, after World War II. Because of it's Italian nature, many of the terms used in this approach are Italian.
The Melrose toddler is a child on the cusp of taking on the world, always on the go, and ready for school adventure! Little ones who are cultivating their motor skills will fit right in this class. These young children are gaining social and emotional skills, improving hand-eye coordination, as well as gross and fine motor skills.
At Melrose, we are passionate about teaching through play, imagination, and creativity. We help your child become a strong individual by exploring new skills, encouraging self-confidence, and supporting each child to shine brightly. Your child will learn basic literacy, math, and science through games and activities.
