We had Spy inspections inspect a house for purchase in July of 2020. The inspection picked up a few issues like radon and termite damage in one corner, along with some evidence of carpenter ants. Noted was slight moisture in the attic around the one chimney and a flue inspection was recommended.
Immediately upon closing, the basement flooded. Water seeped around all three chimneys, not just the one noted in the inspection.
I had Catalfano roofing come out who identified the fact that the entire roof was put on incorrectly and missed in the inspection and is also lacking ventilation causing rot

I was pretty hesitant about hiring Spy Inspections due to them contracting Daybreak to do the inspection, but it turns out it was the best decision I could have made. Not only did Nick Frey from Daybreak inspect every aspect of our new home with great attention to detail, he also walked me through every issue and provided an explanation on the condition and how to properly fix it. Nick provided a 45 page report, including every thing he came across no matter how large or small the issue was. He even provided a cost break down on how much it would cost to repair all of the damages. Even our realtor

We had a great experience with Frank during our home inspection. He took his time and was super thorough. He even did some research on the old furnace and followed up with us within just a few days. Frank's thorough and detailed inspection gave us negotiating leverage to get the right price and have the Seller fix the issues before settlement. I liked the fact he waited for me before he started the inspection and took his time to explain what he found. I liked his inspection report, too. It was easy, simple to understand and more importantly it gave us the confidence to proceed with the purchase. So ask for Frank, I recommend him to do the job!

Frank was great. His thorough inspection saved us from buying a house that was indeed to good be true. We also used him for the house we ended up buying and his inspection gave us the peace of mind we needed. He took the time to answer all my questions during both inspections. The inspector, Steve Hendricks, was exceptional. He, and Joe Kovatch, are Daybreak inspections but hired thru SPY.
SPY was very responsive and was able to give me appointments in a very timely manner.
