We formed our firm in 1999 to serve businesses and individuals in commercial litigation and appellate practice, and all aspects of general business representation. Our attorneys previously practiced with large law firms and have represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individuals and small family-owned businesses.

Our firm is staffed with professionals who genuinely care about our clients and who provide focused, result-oriented legal services. Henry & Jones, L.L.P. is a firm that is dedicated to providing high quality legal services to all of our clients. We believe that what distinguishes our firm is each lawyer's personal commitment to the firm's clients.
Services
Henry & Jones, L.L.P. has a broad corporate practice that includes the representation of public and private corporations, general partnerships, joint ventures, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, non-profit companies, trade organizations, sole proprietors and other forms of business entities.
Mr. Jones is an experienced civil appellate lawyer who has handled numerous appeals before the Texas Supreme Court, Texas State Courts of Appeals and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, having obtained his certification in 1992.
We are engaged in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on real estate financing, leasing and mortgage financing. The firm's commercial leasing work involves representing both landlords and tenants. In addition, we represent clients in the purchase and sale of commercial properties and in real estate development.
We defended a manufacturer in a lawsuit seeking over $3,000,000 in damages involving claims for breach of contract and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. A jury trial resulted in a verdict in favor of our client. We represented a national brokerage company in connection with claims arising out of the sale of securities.
Here's an interesting math question: If a firm is hit with a malpractice jury verdict, is it entitled to subtract a portion of the damages award if it handled its former client's case on a partial contingent-fee basis? That was the issue of first impression Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld presented to Dallas' 5th Court of Appeals recently after a jury found Akin Gump negligent in a legal malpractice suit and hit the firm with a $922,631 verdict.
