If you're looking for a more formal approach to your Kauai Destination Wedding we offer Seated Options, tropical gardens, and even a private waterfall location.
Kauai's natural beauty is unsurpassed, and it offers a variety of stunning wedding locations. Please choose from our favorite beaches, seated ceremony options, tropical gardens, a private waterfall, and the famous Kauai Fern Grotto, coupled with a river boat ride. All locations were carefully selected for easy accessibility and for their natural beauty.
For those couples desiring a more traditional setup we offer two seated Kauai Wedding ceremony options. Because the State of Hawaii does not allow chairs, amplified instruments, or any furniture on public beaches (and all beaches in the State of Hawaii are public beaches), all seated options offered in Hawaii are on private land and have to be rented specifically for your wedding.
For those couples preferring a tropical garden wedding to a beach wedding we have you covered. There are some beautiful garden settings that are not terribly expensive, and there are some gorgeous options in tropical botanical gardens that do add a couple of thousand dollars to your event price. Depending on your personal preference we've got you covered.

We got married in Shipwreck beach on Nov 8. We spoke to Hans several times prior to us arriving in Kauai and he answered every question we had as well as emailed various things we had asked about like restaurants, florists etc. Side note it is Covid times so knowing these things ahead of time and making reservations are a must! Hans was extremely helpful in navigating the particulars. The day after we landed in Kauai Hans called us to check in and go over our final check list. Day of the wedding Hans even called to let us know traffic conditions from Lihue, tree trimming on the highway. We had

We would recommend Kauai Island Weddings, they were so great and communication was superb the whole way start to finish! Hans was fantastic at getting back to me with all my questions and put me at ease with any concerns I had regarding the recent restrictions that were put in place but everything went incredibly smooth! Christie came to our hotel room to do my hair and make us and was such a joy and did an excellent job. These guys are incredibly unprofessional and correspondence with them is a nightmare. The company's true values came during the COVID-19 pandemic when The Hawaiian Island chain was requiring quarantine for 2 weeks and we had to cancel our wedding. We cannot plan another date with them because no one knows when the pandemic will reside. They would not issue a refund at all. They won't answer our emails or get back to us in a timely fashion. Do NOT do business with this place!

Kauai Island Weddings delivered our dream wedding and I highly recommend them for other couples looking for a beautiful, simple wedding. My husband and I planned our perfect day with just a few weeks of planning. We knew we wanted a ceremony at the beach, ukulele music, and beautiful photos and Kauai Island Weddings delivered. Kauai Island Weddings had the nicest people. From the people we planned with remotely to the hair and makeup, the driver, officiant, musician and photographer were so helpful and professional. I highly recommend Kauai Island Weddings. We had never been to Kauai and went to the wedding location sight unseen and it was beautiful and all the details we discussed were executed beautifully. We love Kauai Island Weddings! From the initial phone conversation with Mike to the wedding itself, I felt I was being listened to and taken cate of. The communication for me was great, most things are done online, but they do remind you of the important things that need to be taken care of, like the marriage license. The day of, I felt completely comfortable with the photography and the ceremony performed by Hans was perfect for us; simple, but meaningful. We can't wait for the pictures, we had fun taking photos. They were very accommodating of our 1 year old as well and let us take breaks

I would highly recommend this company. It was perfect, everything about it was perfect. They are so good to work with and will make sure everything is just right. They were very helpful in answering all my questions the week before the wedding and the day of the wedding. It could not have been more perfect. We received our photos that day on a SD card and received the wedding video the next day by email. The extra footage of Kauai they put at the front of the video made it even more special to share with Family and friends.

Mike Hough, owner of Kauai Island Weddings, continues to ignore my phone calls and emails. To this day, I do not have any wedding footage or a refund.
I've had no choice but to file a formal complaint with the BBB.

Thank you guys so much for making our special day everything we dreamed of! Our experience was wonderful from the first phone call to our wedding day. I highly recommend them for your special day. We had a wonderful experience with Kauai Island Weddings and highly recommend them if you're considering a wedding in Hawaii. They really take time to answer all your questions in advance over the phone. The whole staff including the owners are eager to help and so incredibly friendly.
We were able to easily make changes - and pretty last minute - to our ceremony location and number of guests, no problem.

The whole crew went above and beyond our expectations! We were married by Hans on Shipwreck Beach at sunset. Hans provided such an amazing, loving and touching ceremony. The setting, flowers and music were perfect. The packages that they offer make it so easy. I am just thrilled that I found them.

My husband(!!) and I wanted to elope in Kauai because planning and having to pay for a wedding was bumming us out and that was not what this day was supposed to be about. All of the details that go into planning a wedding were frustrating us and we just wanted something simple so we could enjoy it and remember it for many years to come as a joyful occasion and not a stressful one. My wife and I were married last December with the help of KIW. We ordered a picture and video package. We had several family members that were unable to attend so we wanted to make sure they were able to see a great video of our wedding. That being said, KIW clearly states on their website, "With our newest, state of the art, HD digital equipment we are sure to capture every second of your dream come true."

Found KIW while searching for wedding locations in 2015 and came upon their website and really couldn't believe the pricing so I called them to see if it was really true! Mike called me back right away and gave me so much information, he said I was a bit early for reserving and advised me when I should be sure to make a reservation. We were just married last Sunday 6/26/16!
Mike was enjoyable and knowledgeable on the phone planning our wedding . I had a month to plan and it went very smoothly . Once here on Kauai I was in daily contact with him regarding weather, timing, and letting him know we got the license ok . The only bummer was we didn't get to meet him in person , which I would've liked, but he was battling the flu .
I was freaking about unpredictable north shore weather as we were marred on Tunnels Beach. We brought an umbrella and so did they just in case .

Our wedding was a dream come true thanks to the staff at Kauai Island Weddings!! Everyone is so detail oriented which was such a pleasant surprise as I myself am a very detailed person. Mike really took his time to listen to what we wanted for our wedding and made helpful suggestions on how to make it even better! We booked our November 2014 wedding in Kauai through Kauai Island weddings and could not be more pleased with every part of our wedding and stay. I called them in September, after my then fiancé and I decided the stress of wedding planning and trying to please everyone wasn't worth ruining our day. First off, we were married in May. Last I checked May is not a winter month. Maybe the owner is not lying. Maybe Kauai Island Weddings is confusing us with another couple that was extremely dissatisfied. That would make sense.
Secondly, the owner suggested Lydgate Park. I had never been to Kauai and was open for suggestions. I wanted the best place. He told me it would be Lydgate Park. I naively trusted him. As I said before, tide schedules are easily accessible. He should have checked them and alerted us that there would be HIGH TIDE at the time he
