AC4 Fitness is family owned and managed, the brainchild of father and son. After 25 years in the industry our desire was to provide a unique fitness alternative for our friends and neighbors. To provide socially responsible, cutting-edge fitness centers through non-intimidating exercise, convenience, a comfortable environment, and at a compelling price.
At AC4 Fitness we recognize that a critical aspect of staying with your exercise program is convenience. We maximize convenience by providing each one of our members with their own Key-providing 24-hour access to both locations. Now you have even fewer excuses! We employ state-of-the-art security cameras and emergency notification systems for member safety and comfort during Non-Business Hours.
The Month-to-Month Membership provides some of the greatest flexibility in the fitness industry. Freeze Due to Injury or Illness (no fees): Be sure to Include your name as it appears on your membership agreement, Reason as "Medical, " and the number of calendar months requested (one month minimum - six months maximum).
While we hope your commitment to health is for a lifetime, should it become necessary for you to cancel your membership, the Month-to-Month Membership provides some of the greatest flexibility in the industry. Not enough time. It takes as little as 30 minutes of weight training two days a week to see great health benefits (check out our 30-Minute Workout).
We appreciate your patience as staff work to respond to your request within 24 hours following the next business day. Emails are not processed on weekends and holidays. Members are provided with their own Key Fob which provides you with 24 Hour Access, 7 days a week. Non-members may visit the club during Business Hours.

I liked this gym- for the price, the facilities have all the equipment and space one could need, the staff is cordial and helpful if needed, and the space is always clean. However, the management has repeatedly shown that they believe the pandemic is a hoax and for that they have lost my respect.
None of the staff wear masks, and while yes, they do have the guidelines posted on the door, the attendants at the desk tell everyone who enters wearing a mask that they don't need to wear it. Note how none of the responses to comments deny this fact. The blatant disregard of the law at a health establishment

So excited to back into the gym after being hesitant during covid. SUPER disappointed this gym seems to be against masks. There's a current mandate for masks to be worn in doors (including gyms) and neither employees, owners or 98% of gym goers don't wear masks.
They have one mask sign they hung upside down at the bottom of the door.
Also seems ironic for a gym to have a dress code restricting women but doesn't include masks and a "green" marketing slogan but no concern for community health.

This place gets two stars for one very important reason: they have a dress code that dictates how and what a woman should wear in their gym. Y'all, it's 2021, and if a woman (or man) wants to work out in a sports bra, that is their choice. Dress codes like this are outdated, archaic, and offensive. You can easily implement a policy to clean machines after use, but clothing choice has nothing to do with that. A gym should be a safe space in which every individual feels comfortable working out in the clothes that are comfortable to them. Women at the gym should not be punished for exposing

I’m cancelling my membership because AC4 doesn’t seem to care about keeping their patrons safe at all. I get that it’s risky to go to any gym during these times but come on AC4 you can at least TRY. Every time I go in I see employees not wearing masks, I’ve never seen an employee clean any equipment, they haven’t even spaced out the equipment at all so chances are high that someone will hop on a machine that’s 1 foot away from you. It’s like they don’t care enough to do the BARE minimum. It seems like AC4 just put out a couple of hand sanitizers and decided that was enough during

Thank you for being open! I appreciate the precautions that you have taken during the pandemic. This is the best gym in town with great rates. It’s weird that people are leaving reviews about your employees not washing down equipment- there are bottles of disinfectant and towels everywhere and it is the responsibility of the person who used the machine to wipe it down.

I stopped my membership cause I didn’t feel safe. Their covid pre-cautions are superficial, like a song and dance for the PHO. The employees don’t social distance, they all wear their mask around their chin or not at all. The employees cleaning and disinfecting are either wearing their masks around their chin or not at all (seriously no mask while cleaning). It’s primarily the older employees and the owner, some of the younger ones have some integrity and wear a mask like a normal person would.

This was by far the worst experience i have ever had at a gym and i have been to multiple gym's 24 Fitness, La Fitness as well as Gold's Gym and have never been treated so poor and completely unprofessionally. I was very disappointed with the service I received here. I went in wanting to get a membership I had done my research and was ready to get a membership as I went in the lady in the front was inattentive I ended up waiting a good while. I feel I would have been less annoyed if she had made eye contact and said simply "Ill be right with you." When I was finally able to talk to her I told her I wanted to do a joint membership and she said that wasn't allowed, what kind of gym at this day and age doesn't let you do joint membership???

Great location, near Macy's, Ross, and soon a Target. Plenty of parking.. very reasonable membership price. I live the 24 hr access! I have an odd schedule... so being able to access the gym at night is the best feature. Their bathrooms and showers are always clean. The staff are all very friendly. The owner is the most nicest, professional gentleman. They allow guest passes for $5 (unlimited as long as guest pays $5 each time) this is another one of my favorite things about AC4. So it's great to be able to bring a friend, or a relative visiting from out of town.

AC4 is a great gym! The location is great as there is ample parking and lots to visit after/before the gym. They currently have this location and the one off Fairview, and with your membership you have 24/7 access to either gym. Along with your membership you get the option to add on all access to booth tanning and a water massage bed to sooth your sore post-workout body.
There is no selling of extra services or fancy classes, and the staff is super helpful. It is very clean and there is a solid variety of equipment. However, this location is rather small so it gets busy at certain points, and

This is great gym, especially for those looking to avoid the normal grunge of a overly populated gym of grunting and cut off shirts.
Both locations provide acceptable equipment for most exercises, it is clean, staff is friendly and they offer both hydro massage beds along with tanning.
With two locations, goleta and lacumbre, the convenience and facilities are worth the price! Which might i add is comparable or cheaper than other gyms.

The motto here is Get Lean - Go Green!
Why is that? Well not only are you putting in work here at the gym but you are also reducing your carbon footprint while using the machines.
Every person who is using a machine is generating energy for the electrical grid which apparently keeps the power going in this gym. Pretty darn cool if you ask me!
This place was a major downsize from my former gym at Bay Club formerly Spectrum and it's taken some time getting use to, but it has all the equipment I need at half the price I was paying before; minus the classes.
I opted for the VIP membership
