Chad and Grazia Brunochelli established Salon Passione in Pasadena over a decade ago after successfully owning a high fashion salon in Italy. Chad's training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy taught him the importance of shape, balance, accentuating skin tone and enhancing facial bone structure when colouring and crafting hair.
Chad styled and coloured hair in Orange County and Los Angeles County salons prior to moving with his wife Grazia to Italy. In Italy, Chad worked for several years with the legendary Italian hair Maestro Aldo Coppola styling and colouring hair for high fashion actresses, print, photo and runway models.

I am thankful I found this salon. Chad is awesome with my hair. He knows what will look good and I trust him. My hair looks healthier, shinier and fresher when I leave there. Everyone is nice, the salon is clean and another huge bonus... I am not there for hours and hours. Chad is super personable and remembers things you have told him in the past. They also stock great hair are products like Kerastase. I love this salon and thankful I found Chad. Highly recommend!

I been going to Salon Passione for years. Chad and Gracia keep my family looking great. With everyone worried about Covid and Delta. I just wanted to post. Chad and Gracia are beyond safe. Masks worn. And the most important question asked. Are you vaccinated. I want to Thank Chad and Gracia for making sure myself and family are safe.

I have been to many salons while living in Manhattan, Beverly Hills and San Marino but none came close to Chad's eye for color. He is a brilliant colorist and stylist too. Salon Passione isn't some fancy ritzy place which I love. It's located in Pasadena on Lake with parking in the back. It's nestled next to a running store so you could miss noticing it. My hair was a total disaster before coming to Chad despite going to several other top rated salons in Pasadena for years with no improvement. My hair was a frizzy, dried, and unflattering yellow mess. Chad made a huge difference the first visit and each time he maintains the same quality and improves my look.

So thrilled this salon has an outdoor service option right now during the covid restrictions- I had a great experience!
Chad was incredibly helpful and accomodating in making my appointment and Graziella (spelling?) gave me a perfect cut! They were professional and very helpful, wore masks the whole time (as did I) and did a great job. I highly recommend this salon if you need a safe covid cut!

I had a great experience with Salon Passione! One of the few salons open for outdoor haircuts, so if your looking for a place open during the pandemic, this place has everything set up. My hair had grown out so long during the stay at home orders and I needed a haircut to refresh my long hair. Grazia was so attentive and really made sure I was happy with the look!

All I can say about this salon is WOW! I was nervous because it had been a while since I had gotten my hair cut and only really trusted 1 other person with my hair,(she lives in another state), but I was SO impressed with this salon. Chad and Grazia were so accomodating and genuine, they are TRUE professionals. I highly highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been going to Chad (co-owner) for many years. Even tried a few other people but always go back to Salon Passione and Chad. Barring a relocation, Chad is stuck with me. Just got my hair done today and it’s fabulous as always. The haircuts and color are by far the best I’ve had. I am a natural redhead, yet with the inevitable gray taking over Chad has found just the right recipe to bring my hair back to its once natural color. Great customer comfort and service is on full display at Salon Passione. Oh, and the music is alway great! Thanks Chad and Grazia.

I have been a loyal customer to salon passione for 12 or so years now because they've always been able to deliver exactly what I ask for. There are not many people that know how to work with the type of curly hair I have but both Chad & Grazia have done an amazing job each and every time. Most recently I went in for a big chop and to go back to my natural brown color after being fully blonde. Grazia gave me the exact layered cut that I wanted!! Salon Passione is the only salon I trust with my curls!

I started getting Kerastase treatments when I was living in Asia, but when I moved back to LA all I could find were damaging keratin treatments and Brazilian blowouts. I tried them all and didn't like them, so I finally went online to search for salons that did Kerastase treatments and found Chad!
What makes Chad and Salon Passione stand out are the amazing head massages that come with the treatment. I make an effort to come once a month to keep my hair looking great and my mind de-stressed - thank you Chad & team

This is an update on an earlier review about the stellar white-blonde highlights I've received from Chad, which are the holy grail for blondes. I am a natural beigey-golden-ashy blonde, which I only note insofar as my cut relates to my biracial hair, and I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking I was lifted from dark hair. (I have no doubt that they can lift dark hair to blonde, but it's my general understanding that the darker the hair, the more steps involved.) My natural shade lifts fairly easily, but I've not previously received what I wanted

Through a friend's recommendation, I first went to him with a desperate plea -- "Fix it!?" -- and he did! He made my brassy lemon-head hair the perfect platinum I was looking for.
Then, a couple of weeks later when I realized how happy I was with the color, I risked life and limb and went back for a cut. Again, I was delighted! I shouldn't have been surprised: my friend's hair is ADORABLE

I was referred to Chad by a friend and had my first appointment about a month ago. If my rating was based simply on the cut I received I would give five stars. He did a good job. But his outsized ego makes me wonder if I can actually return. The talent is definitely there but the braggadocio was wearing. I debated whether or not to write this review because I never have before and finally decided I had to.

Chad is a hair magician, I am so thrilled about my haircut! This is my first time getting my locks cut by him and I'm so glad I came here. I finally took the plunge today and got an A-line bob cut. So far, this is the shortest I've ever cut my hair. Although an A-line bob hairstyle seems like a simple cut, not all stylist can cut it with such finesse and precision. I love that I can swish my hair whichever which way and it still falls into place perfectly. Not too short not too long, not too layered, just right.

I've been looking for a tried and true colorist/stylist for four years now and finally I have found him! Chad (owner and principle stylist) is a genius, taking subtle suggestions and transforming them into stunning styles. The salon is run by Chad and his very Italian, very beautiful wife and together they manage a no-bs business driven by the highest standard of customer service and quality. No matter where I live in LA, I will make the drive to Pasadena for Salon Passione!

I've been going here for several months and last month i finally took a the big step and did my whole head of hair blue, purple and pink with the galaxy hair style! Marina did it for me, and it came out looking wonderful! She was patient and paid great attention to the detail and depth that the glaxy style hair required. I highly recommend here for any style! I purchased a Groupon for the cut, condition, and color because it was such a great deal...and I'm so happy I did. Chad (stylist as well as owner) did all 3, and I'm very pleased with his work. He used color by L'Oreal and it turned out beautifully. He did an excellent job on my haircut and I love how versatile the cut is - especially because I told him I have 2 kids and don't have time to do my hair.
