All Physical Therapy is provided in our state of the art facility, which houses an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, by the most skilled Physical Therapists in the Atlanta area.
Atlanta Sport & Spine Physical Therapy offers a competitive edge to get athletes back to their sport. Our Physical Therapists (PTs) understand the unique demands of the high school, college, and professional athlete as well as the weekend warriors.

Atlanta Sport & Spine Physical Therapy is fortunate to have Dr. Lindsey Knowles, one of the southeast's most accomplished Sports Physical Therapists who holds a specialty certification in Sports Physical Therapy. She has worked with numerous triathletes and runners, players from the NBA, NHL, PGA Tour, and many collegiate athletes.
Dry needling (DN) is a technique physical therapists use (where allowed by state law) to treat myofascial pain. The technique uses a "dry" needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle, known as trigger points.

DN uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points, muscular, and connective tissues - for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. In cases when dry needling is used by physical therapists, it is typically 1 technique that's part of a larger treatment plan.
Atlanta Sport & Spine Physical Therapy employees are passionate about giving back to our community and volunteer with a number of local organizations and are proud to support our local schools! Our goal is to create a safe place that promotes physical health, contributing to the emotional, economical and spiritual health of the neighborhood.
Having physical therapy twice a week during the holiday season could be a real hassle, but I thoroughly enjoyed my sessions with Lindsey. Because she directed my attention toward strengthening my core. The only place to go! ATL Sport & Spine got me through bilateral hip replacement & Pilates has carried me through ever since (i.e. 5 years later)!

I've been having chronic knee pain for about a year, so I decided to try physical therapy. Dr. Doddington does an excellent job of putting together exercises that eliminate pain and increase strength. I started to lose hope of feeling better but now the results are showing. Thank you!

(Unfortunately), I've been to many PT practices over the years. AS+S is by FAR the most comprehensive, caring, advanced practice that I've had the opportunity to experience. @TravisLewek (therapist) has been nothing short of miraculous (and patient). I've gone from extreme hip pain (referral from low back) and stuck in bed to walking 4M, back in the gym (slowly) and happy. I know I will be back to 100% with their help and guidance. Thank you!

I had a very worthwhile experience at Atlanta Sport and Spine. Danny was extremely helpful, and it was obvious to me that I was in good hands. I would recommend this group highly to anyone.

They did not do their due diligence in making sure the correct muscles were firing during my exercises. Now two years later I'm in physical therapy again explaining how I've done hundreds of clams bridges etc but I'm still tight and in pain. Only this time I've gotten dry needling and kinesio tape done for the first time to inhibit the wrong muscles from firing. I never had this when I came here originally and I think it would have made all the difference in my hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours exercising being effective or not. I think my therapist actually just thought I was lazy for not

This would have been a 5/5, but I'm disappointed in the team's inflexibility when it comes to rescheduling (not canceling) an appointment. Over two months going twice per week: one time I was locked out of my car, and was not able to make the appointment (rescheduled to the following day), and recently a conflict came up in my schedule so I called to reschedule. If you have ONE reschedule they waive a $25 fee, and your second reschedule it's assessed (no way around it apparently). Even though this would have been my very last visit with the office, there was a lack of compassion in waving this

I have been sorely remiss in not relating my outstanding experience at Atlanta Sport and Spine. Beginning mid-Summer 2020, I began to experience severe sciatica due to a disc issue. My physician recommended Atlanta Sport and Spine, and I began therapy there immediately. My therapist, Danny, proved to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and sincerely caring. Well before I even saw a physiatrist about my issue, Danny readily assessed the likely, specific source of my pain, providing me a program of therapy and exercises to address it. Danny always sought to remain updated on my progress, even

Dr. Dani was phenomenal!! Its been over 10 yrs since my post-op and physical therapy and I am still beyond thankful. Went to a few Dr.s before finding Dr. Daniel, and I can say with confidence that my ability to regain full strength in my leg/knee was because of the post op. Thank youuu!!!

During my time with Atlanta Sport & Spine Physical Therapy, I was under the care of Travis. He was clear and communicative, always providing accurate instruction, explanation, correction and encouragement. He took the time to personally relate to me, and I noticed that he does that with all of his patients, too. Travis played a crucial role in my process of healing and recuperation for my lower-back, and he made sure that I was educated and equipped to continue that process on my own. It was only a few weeks before I noticed a significant difference in my own health, and a matter of several months
