We have a developmental approach to preparing your child for their elementary school years. Not only will they learn, but more importantly, they will learn to love learning. We view their daily experiences as opportunities to discover. They won't just memorize their ABCs, they will finish our school with a desire to "put it all together."
As our planet becomes more and more of a social network, our children benefit from developing these abilities at an early age. At our preschool your child will learn to share, to work out conflicts and to cooperate with others. Learning to socialize outside of the immediate family prepares children to comfortably adapt as they go forward in life.

Services
The heart and soul of our Preschool is our wonderful director Stacy Williams. Stacy has been involved in preschools for nearly 20 years. This is the third school she has directed, each of them becoming successful and impacting to the community. She has a heart of gold and loves every single child in the school.
Our outdoor play environment has been specifically designed for the total development of the child. Your child will be able to spend delightful hours engaged in climbing, sliding, balancing, riding and playing with others. Safety surfaces that absorb falls cover the portion of the playground underneath equipment, while hard surfaced areas are provided for wheel toys, ball play, group games and art activities.
It is the philosophy of the center that all children are to be remembered on their birthdays. It is permissible for parents to bring birthday refreshments to the classroom. Healthy treats are encouraged. The child may also wear a birthday crown or badge for the day. Birthday celebrations should be celebrated as a simple recognition of the child and should not be allowed to disrupt regular classroom activities or schedules.
The goal of our toddler program is for the children to gain more independence, an increased vocabulary, and a basic recognition of colors, numbers, shapes, and phonics. They will learn age appropriate problem solving skills and socialization. Shining Stars offer a playful environment for our toddlers where the children can have access to toys, games, sensory tables and activities, books, blocks and puzzles.
After completion of this program, children typically exceed kindergarten entry level requirements. We set them up for success by teaching them to read, write, and spell sight words. We help them gain problem solving skills and social skills during their time in this program. To help develop more these skills, activities and games are provided to encourage the children to have more interaction with each other.

I have had two children attend here for many years now and can not say enough great things about it. We have had nothing but a great experience from the director on down to all the other people that work there. It is clean, secure, and the children are very well prepared for kindergarten. Not to mention the fact that it is more than competitively priced especially considering all the positives.

We have been a part of the Shining Stars family since 2011, and from the day we toured the preschool we have been impressed. We had toured so many preschools before finally finding this hidden gem. As soon as we walked in, we knew this was the place for our children. The facility is bright and clean, and well secured. In the past five years each of our children have been enrolled at Shining Stars and have received nothing but the best care. The teachers are knowledgeable and caring, and my children have been exceptionally well prepared for kindergarten; both of them beginning to read before leaving
