Montview Community Preschool & Kindergarten is a parent cooperative that HONORS CHILDHOOD by supporting diverse families and by educating children in a play-based environment, emphasizing the JOY of DISCOVERY, CREATIVITY, WONDER, and EMPOWERMENT. Parents enrich our school with their ideas, interests, talents, and resources.
Montview takes great care to ensure that the teachers and support staff alike are able to uphold the schools reputation as one of the very best in Denver. Montview staff share a common belief in a developmentally appropriate environment. We strive to attract and retain early childhood teachers of the highest caliber.
Montview Community Preschool and Kindergarten is a magical place to teach - where you can be your authentic self while working along-side the best early childhood educators in Denver. It is a place where you will be fulfilled, inspired, and encouraged. Your work will be recognized as a meaningful component to the tremendous growth that children and families experience while being part of our cooperative preschool.
Montview Community Preschool & Kindergarten was founded in 1964 as a charitable mission of Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church. Although the Church sponsors the school, we are a secular school, not faith-based. The school was conceived by former Colorado First Lady, Bea Romer, as a parent participation school open to families of all races, religious faiths, and economic backgrounds.
We conduct tours for families who are eligible to apply for the current or upcoming school year. Tours are by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9am or 1:30pm. Families will meet with the Director or Assistant Director and see the classrooms in action. For families new to Montview, please schedule a tour prior to submitting an application.

One of the very few schools that not only understands what it takes to create a successful and positive early childhood education experience, but demonstrates it in everything that they do here. My 4 year old is THRIVING here. He WANTS to go to school, even on days that he doesn't have school. (This was not the case last year at a different preschool.)
As an educator, experienced in early childhood and elementary schools, I have been impressed with this school from the moment I first read about their philosophy on their website, to touring the school and seeing it in-person, to now having my child
