Montessori is all about community. As a traditional Montessori environment, Community Montessori School strives to bridge family and school. We provide children with a loving academic environment to help them thrive. The children develop responsibility for one's self and community, as they assist each other in learning and growing within the classroom.

An emphasis on etiquette, manners, and conflict resolution expands your childs' emotional and social growth in a developmentally appropriate way. These blossoming children gain many skills and traits of character that will aid them in their future self development. You are welcome to come in and see what makes Community Montessori a special and unique place of learning and growing.

It has been an absolute pleasure watching the emotional, and academic, growth in my child. That has been, in huge part, due to this school's teachings. My child is in his second year with Community Montessori. The staff have a very clear understanding on childhood development and how to bring out the most in every child. Their focus on virtues and community has really helped my child to calmly, respectfully, adjust to the daily challenges and routines. We adore the staff and their academic approach. Our family HIGHLY recommends this school.

My 3 years old son started at this school in August. We only planned to have him do 1/2 days until kindergarten, however, he’s absolutely flourished and we are starting him full time next week. He’s tracing letters (sandpaper letters), word building (and sounding out letters/words), and memorizing songs. He surprises me with his new knowledge everyday - months of the year, US flag recognition, days of the week, etc etc. probably more importantly, he’s come out of his shell and is taking more risks everyday. He’s polite and respectful of others (always was, but this is enforced). He LOVES

My daughter has been attending Community Montessori School since she was 3 years old and is currently a kindergartner there. I couldn't be happier with her experience. It is a small intimate setting where the families are able to get to know one another and the kids are able to thrive. It is academically outstanding because every child works at his or her own level and is not held back or forced ahead by another child. Also because of the Montessori approach, the level of learning is very hands-on and enriching. There is an abundance of science, geography, social studies, music and culture taught

We love this school. The teachers are great and the work in the classroom is interesting and rotated regularly. It is a peaceful Montessori classroom, the kids are kind to each other, and it doesn’t have any of that unnecessary rigidity that can be present in other Montessori schools.

I am a School Psychologist by profession and have met with Janet, the Director, many times to discuss her school and the progress of students that attend her school at parents’ request. In the course of working with families, I have observed her classroom for extended periods of time and I am consistently impressed. Why am I impressed? When I walk in the building, I observe individualized attention to student progress, nurturing interactions between teachers and students, students that have internalized procedures that scaffold learning, students that are able to manage extensive collections

Community Montessori is an extension of our family. Our son joined in 2016 and will be starting kindergarten in August. When he first joined at 3 years old, he wouldn’t talk much to the teachers and it took time for him to open up. The teachers immediately made him feel safe and loved. He loves his school so much, he now asks to stay late! He’s made close friendships and the parent community is also close. He’s 4 years old and he’s already learning to read and write. He’s counting beyond 100 and loves to learn. We also really like the nutrition emphasis on eating whole foods. The teachers

I would highly recommend Community Montessori to everyone!! Our daughter completed her fourth school year at CMS in June 2017 and graduated kindergarten in cap and gown! Parents can enroll their children here as early as two years of age if they are potty-trained. It's been amazing to watch the transformation from the early years to the leadership year of kindergarten. I will always have the fond memories of the International Festivals, Dad’s nights, and teatime with my daughter around the holidays. I could not agree more with the 5-star reviews from other parents at CMS. First-rate teachers

After having a disappointing experience at a Goddard school, we moved our 3.5yo son to Community Montessori at the recommendation of a coworker. We have been so happy since he started. The teachers are great! They truly care about the children. My son is excited about going, and loves sharing what he learned during the day. In addition to typical preschool “work,” they teach the children about virtues weekly, which I really appreciate. Not only is he getting a great start in school, developing a love for learning, but learning how to be a good person too. I definitely recommend CMS!

My wife and I work full time and we needed a school for our three year old starting Aug. of 2014. After seven months of enrollment at the CMS, I am delighted to say our child is getting a first class education that surprises us everyday! There are four experienced teachers that have been with the school for multiple years. The school has so many great learning areas that get changed monthly. There is a large yard with a playground, play areas and gardens. The school has early morning and late afternoon care, where my daughter continues learning while my wife and I are still working. After an unnecessarily difficult year at a well known school in PV, we hired a school placement consultant to vet a short list of pre-schools that provided a better environment match for both our sons (4 and 3). As part of the consultation, we completed formal testing and found them both to be very intelligent; requiring a low student:teacher ratio and more challenging curricula. We interviewed the top 3 and chose Community Montessori. The difference is remarkable. After only 6 weeks, my oldest is recognizing and sounding through words while my younger son is displaying significantly improved social
