Services
While this project is an older project, several RLM Engineering, Inc personnel worked on this project. Richard Morin was project engineer with other personnel providing services including Ron Ratcliff, Ken DeLap II, and James M West. The project consisted of the replacement of the existing wastewater treatment with a Sequential Batch Reactor treatment and conversion of existing structures for other uses.
Two reports were prepared for the City of North Vernon Water Utility. One examined the existing water treatment facility's ability to meet current and proposed surface water treatment requirements. The raw water from the Muscatatuck River is challenging to treat.
A second study examined options for water supply that included the use of existing facility with raw water improvements, purchase of treated water, and development of a groundwater supply.The reports were used for planning and decision making purposes. The Phase V Improvements were separated into two distinct funding projects in consecutive years.

The Ross County Water Company (RCWC) provides rural water service to 13,000 customers in Ross County, Ohio. RCWC first contracted with RLM Engineering, Inc. to provide design services and environmental studies for their Phase VI project. Since that time, we have completed Phase VII and Phase VIII Improvements.
RLM Engineering, Inc. provided design services for several water main extensions for the Scioto Water, Inc. Some of the projects were financed in-house, but Scioto Water, Inc. also received ARRA (stimulus) funding for two larger water main extensions. Another project extended service to an ODOT rest park that was funded through ODOT.
RLM Engineering, Inc. conducted design projects for the Southwest Regional Water District. These have included water main replacement, booster station replacement, water storage tank additions, and water treatment facility improvements. Treatment facility improvements included the replacement of the backwash troughs, filter media, and backwash valves in a 4 MGD facility.
