JO of JOs Body Shop extends her treatments with follow-up calls and helpful hints for a better you. JO has an MFA in Fine Arts from UCLA, where she studied New Forms and Concepts. In NYC she worked in multi-media production design for theater, corporate and educational institutions.
Her passion has always been medicine and healing so she attended massage school for 18 months and passed her State and National Board exams in Massage Therapy, Hydrotherapy and Bodywork in 2013 - with flying colors.Currently she is living her dream with a beautiful massage practice and sharing it with lots of incredible people.

I bought a massage for my brother after he completed walking the Appalachian Trail as I knew he could use it. I called JO after reading a few reviews and felt comfortable enough paying for it over the phone and also let her chose the type of massage she thought would be best for him.
After receiving the massage, my brother called me and said it was by far the best massage he had ever had- an that he has gotten many massages in the past to compare it to. JO is amazing. The minute I walked into JO's Body Shop, I knew I was in the right place. I think everyone has their own feeling as to what that is, but the combination of natural fragrances from essential oils; the shelves full of laughing Buddhas, amber jewelry and Japanese robes; the panels of blue sky and clouds in the ceiling; and JO's easy and welcoming nature made me feel like kicking off my shoes and curling up on her couch to talk about my issues before the bodywork. Julie is AMAZING!!! She is a passionate, knowledgeable, kind and caring practitioner. Her attention to detail and level of genuine interest and regard for her clients is outstanding.
