Been here a few times, food is always fantastic. Always busy, and for good reason. On top of that it's just a really cool place, great vibe.

Our anniversary stay in the Deluxe King Suite did not disappoint! The design and aesthetic of the suite was well planned out and beautiful. Mikaila was helpful with our booking and very accommodating. Looking forward to staying here, again!

The winter cocktails were fantastic and the butternut squash soup was the best we've ever had. My wife's burger was cooked to perfection on the grill and the salmon was excellent. You can't go wrong with the bread and butter or the brussel sprouts. We finished our dinner with a perfectly salty and crisp cookie with fresh vanilla ice cream made in house. It was a wonderful way to complete the meal. We could not have been more pleased with our choice and it was absolutely worth the extra distance to get there. The aesthetic and design of the restaurant is also spot on.

Hi there. I want to write about my experience at ghostwriters. After seeing lovely posts on Fb for well over a year, and hearing good reviews from a friend who had dined with you, I was excited to have dinner with you all last Wednesday night. My friend who lives in J"town made a reservation for 4pm that night. We had plans for later. . We arrived to a hostess with no reservation for us. We were told by this young lady that the only way we could make a rez was digitally. And, that there were no reservations open for the rest of the evening. So, my friend gets on her phone to figure out

My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday over the weekend for the first time. Wow. Ghostwriter PH is now our favorite restaurant near Columbus, certainly outdoing anything Columbus offers. All of the drinks were fantastic, and our waitress, Jennifer, did an excellent job. We had the scallop special and the pork chop, and they were absolutely phenomenal. To start, the cheese curds (the best I've had) and the bread & butter were great! The cheesecake (also the best I've had) is to die for! Thank you so much. We will be back soon!

Not enough good things to say. From the time we called until our desserts were finished, everything was amazing. I have been wanting to go for sometime, so I decided to make a last minute call just in case. The… young lady who answered the Phone at around 4:30 on the 27th, was so polite and accommodating. She had us feeling great about the place before we ever arrived. We were a little sceptical on the drive from New Albany to Johnstown as it is just a small little village, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. When we turned onto Main Street we felt a warm welcoming atmosphere. quaint historical

Hard to get into here on Thursday,Friday or Saturday evenings. Food is unique. Dietary problems are not addressed so it can be a difficult meal for selections ( cheese, mushrooms are my limitations). It's an expensive restaurant but food is good.

Ghostwriter is exactly the type of restaurant, or "public house", to revivify the beautiful, historic Johnstown Main Street. Immediately upon entering the front door you step into another era or realm - super funky decor and ambiance, but no surprises as they are owned by the neighboring company, Crow Works, which designs and builds American made commercial furniture for restaurants and hospitality businesses. Taking public house to heart, you can even stay in the same building strip that they now rent out suites! Food is seasonally inspired at the direction of executive chef Brett Fife, formerly

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful cozy atmosphere and incredibly good food all for a reasonable price. The food is very high quality and always has been cooked to perfection every time I go. Their cocktails and drinks are always delicious. The atmosphere is fancy and cozy and very warm and welcoming. The staff has always treated me well and been very polite going above and beyond with their service. Every time I go I leave wondering why I don't go more often.

Second time back. Such a gem. Deviled eggs. Caprese salad with crunchy chicken. Hubby had the pasta primavera with crunchy chicken. Two glasses of Malbec and an old fashion. Not bad for a seat at the bar on an impromptu Sunday night for dinner.

Best restaurant I’ve been to in the entire state. They do everything right - from the food execution (excellent flavor and textures) to the service, ambience, tableware, decor, all of it is flawless. Would rival any restaurant in world-class cities.

I will pile on the complements.
We were a party of 4 yesterday evening at the Ghostwriter Public House. The restaurant is a "diamond in the rough". There are lots of fast food restaurants in the area, the Ghost Writer is very different. The restaurant has a large bar area, lots of cocktail options and an excellent menu. Our group enjoyed a few cocktails and wine with our main courses. We enjoyed a few of the pasta dishes and two different grilled fish options. The portions were generous and they were all excellent. Importantly the service was extremely attentive.
Overall, highly

I'm not usually in Johnstown, but I'd happily make the short trip from Columbus to come here. It's definitely a busy place, the good kind of busy where the staff are kind and food still comes out quickly. I wish I had ordered a couple of different apps for myself. They were so good. Try anything that's wood fired. It's delicious.

My family and I have eaten here three times, the last two of which were Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. But even if it's not a holiday, make a reservation in advance!! I haven't been able to eat here yet without a reservation.

My wife and I have also had dinner and drinks at the bar late on a Saturday night and it was really great! I loved sitting at the bar, interacting more personally with their staff, and the service was just as great as getting a table.

In fact, the service has been top notch every time we've been there. I have to believe it's a very high

Our 1st time here and we will return. Nicely decorated and you are not crowded in. The server was very accommodating and we felt went above and beyond. Her wine recommendation was spot on for the meal. The vegan burger was one of the best my wife has ever had. I had the spicy (Nashville hot) chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. The portions were righted for lunch. We were full but to order the chocolate chip cookies and we were not disappointed. The coarse salt in the cookie really enhanced the flavor. We were very pleased with our decision to eat here and we will be returning.

Yesterday, my friend and I went to Ghostwriters for the first time and let me tell you FANTASTIC! We made a reservation online ahead of time and arrived at 6:30. The building itself looks like it does not belong in downtown Johnstown. It's so pretty and doesn't really fit in.

The entire restaurant is setup beautifully. There were two large TVs in the restaurant with a gorgeous gold picture frame border so it looked like a moving picture. They also have gorgeous chandeliers. The place doesn't look very big but then they have a whole other section to the right of where you walk in
