FTLOC - For The Love of Children - provides Daycare and Preschool at its Childcare Center for Sioux Falls, SD area families. Our center provides a well-rounded learning environment for each child. Our teachers make lesson plans that follow themes for each week, which include art, outside time, free time, group time, and circle time, and other activities.
Each room is full of age- appropriate activities that are fun and engaging. In our rooms, the children are participating in circle time in which they sings songs and practice numbers, colors, shapes, and other learning activities appropriate for their age. Services
We work with the Childcare Assistance Program and we are on the Child and Adult Food Program that is the same as the school lunch program. We do not charge extra for meals, they are included in the tuition prices. We have Head Teachers in each classroom and assistants to help carry out activities in the room.
Infant Room - In our infant room we accept children from 4 weeks old to 12 months. They are fed and changed on demand. We offer infant formula, we provide our own fruits and vegetables pureed, and we offer infant foods and infant cereal.
Toddler Room - 1 Year Old - In our 1 year old toddler room, we start circle time where we sing songs with actions, an art project that focuses on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, large motor activities, fine motor activities, body movement activities, and much more.3 Year Old Room - In our 3 year old room, we are called the Tigers.

Our Infant Room is designed to help children with formulas, sippy cups, breast milk transitions and have an Open Door Policy for parents. We offer infant formula, we provide our own fruits and vegetables pureed, and we offer infant foods and infant cereal. We help parents transition from a bottle to a sippy cup.
Our 2 Year Old Room encourages Potty Training, Show-N-Tell Activities and Shapes & Colors, among other things. Some activities we do are participating in centers, where we break down into groups of 5. We work on art, puzzles, shape and color work, fine motor activities, large motor activities.
We start Show-n-Tell in this room on Fridays, where they can bring a toy from home, and Share-n-Read on Tuesdays, where they bring a book from home to read at Circle Time.

Our 3 Year Old Room is where we start learning about cutting with scissors, handwriting, using flash cards and letters & numbers recognition. Here we start handwriting, cutting with scissors, assistance with art, this room is also our letter and number recognition room. We start field trips to the zoo, apple picking, pumpkin picking, to the circus and to Sertoma Park.
