All First Adventure classrooms, doorways, hallways, gyms, and playgrounds are equipped with security cameras to ensure the safety for all of the little ones that we care for. Doorways are always locked, with access available only from our entrance with an activated key fob. Key fobs are only given to parents, and any other arrangements made by parents to visit or pick up a child is only allowed with a photo ID, and verification from the parents.

Preschool starts early at First Adventure. Our Pre-K and Preschool Teachers are trained in the award winning and nationally recognized curriculum "Learning Without Tears." Many elementary schools in Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities use "Learning Without Tears, " making their transition from our program onto their next adventure an easy one.

Both of our kids have attended First Adventure since they were infants, and I can't imagine sending them anywhere else. The teachers are so invested in helping the kids grow and learn new things every day, and our kids are always excited to get to daycare in the morning because they enjoy their time there so much. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to, which makes things easier for the parents too!

Our girls attended First Adventure on Benson Road. There were several things we loved, including little to no staff turnover, and the fact that the teachers and staff loved on and treated our girls like they were their own. We also loved that there was a definite chain of command and the owners are present, involved, and amazing to work with. They care about your kids and their staff. Our girls were beyond ready for kindergarten because of the great preschool teachers. I never hesitate to recommend them!!

Our daughter started at First Adventure when she was 11 months old (Oct 2013). We had her in an in-home daycare but we decided to make the switch to a center because we were frustrated with the limited hours that were NOT very flexible and seemingly endless days that we needed to find alternative care for our daughter. We felt pretty guilty about switching her care provider but we were frustrated with the current situation and needed to do something.
The feelings of guilt didn’t last because the first day we brought her in we felt so welcome. Her teacher greeted us when we walked in the door

Our 2 kiddos have loved First Adventure since they have started. We have enjoyed each teacher, although slightly disappointed in the high turnover. Overall very impressed and appreciative! Would recommend to anyone but know that spots fill up fast, so get on waiting list ASAP.

I took my 2 year old to the First Adventure Learning Center on Benson Rd after being paying $175 deposit to be put on the waiting list, and waiting just over four months for a spot to open.  It was his first week there, and I got a call saying there was a rash on his right arm and asked us to take him to see his pediatrician.  I was wary of the so-called "rash" until the pediatrician confirmed that it was not a rash but instead, in his opinion, it was in no doubt CLEARLY a bite mark, but I will have you guys to decide.  I then sent my son back to First Adventure with the doctor's note saying

My child attended the South location. She was only fed every 3.5 to 5 hours and I had told them numerous times she needs to bed every 2-3 hours as she is a newborn. When I brought up concerns nothing ever changed and the Director dismissed my concerns. They would mark that they fed her 3oz but then give me 1.5 oz from the same bag still in the fridge. My child would come home starving and extremely upset. We finally removed her due to safety concerns as she was being neglected. The Director met with me upon removal and said that they "were just not able to meet my feeding every 2-3 hour feeding

My LO has been going to the South location at First Adventure since he was 3 months old. He is 6 months old now and I have never had any problems! The younger infant teachers take care of him as if he were their own, he absolutely adores them. They have exceeded all of my expectations and are very open about anything they have questions or concerns about. I am not the most laid back mom, I have very strong personal values when it comes to what I want and don't want my child to do and they have worked with me to meet all of my requests. We are very happy with this center and highly recommend them
