Overheard my coworkers talking about why they like going to Bato so I thought he might be the right guy to work on a long overdue repair.
Car had heatshield/exhaust rattling where the welds had rusted through, rusted rotors scraping through the turns, and had suffered several years of neglect before I finally decided it was time to get this solved. Part of me was worried the repair would cost more than the value of the vehicle! To my surprise, Bato answered my EMAIL (have you ever had an autoshop reply to an email?) within hours - even though he was on vacation.
I brought my car the next day

This was my first time going to Bato Auto and it was a great experience. I was able to schedule an appointment within days of calling, Bato kept me informed of everything that was going on, my car was worked on quickly and Bato was always professional and willing to explain what was needed and why. I will absolutely be back the next time my car needs service.

Bato is very professional and provides excellent service. His quality work is unbeatable, is very accommodating as well honest with reasonable pricing!!
I called him with some questions with possible brake issues and knowing that I have a child, he made it a priority to see me which just shows that our safety was his concern which he clearly stated during our conversation!!

After moving to Vermont I asked around for a quality mechanic, and was referred to Bato. Bato is a great and personal man who really cares about his customers. Just experienced the 'above and beyond' treatment from Bato.
After purchasing a used car from him at the end of the year, we reported back to him that there were a couple miner glitches with the car which Bato was quick to show concern, knowledge, and responsibility to bring the car up to par for us. I had experienced the opposite treatment a few years ago from another vendor and was gun-shy when buying this car, but after this experience I am now a loyal customer to Bato Auto.

Highly recommend Bato for any type of car maintenance. I take both of my VW's to Bato. One of my cars is 18 years old and tanks to Bato it runs like new. His service is fast and very precise at an extremely reasonable price. This is a place that will get the work done right the first time and you won't be coming back a few weeks later to fix something new like other places. I can't say enough about how good it feels to have a trusting mechanic.

Bato maintains both of my cars for me. One of them is my 2000 VW Golf. Keep in mind this is a 17 year old car that works like a Swiss made watch. Bato did a transmission swap on the car for an incredibly low price and in record time. A year into the new transmission I have had no issues, just like new. I have also had other work done with Bato and all of it was expected wear and tear stuff. He is extremely efficient, honest, upfront and incredibly generous with his time and his pricing simply cannot be beaten. Bato is fantastic! Straightforward, honest, and GREAT at his craft. I was a New Jersian, on vacation with my kids, and stranded with a clutch gone bad. Two larger, more established mechanics in the Burlington area were too busy to help me, but the first recommended the second who in turn recommended Bato. Very happy they were busy. Bato did excellent work, ahead of schedule, and at a very fair price. Can't ask for more. Thanks Bato! A pleasure doing business with you.
