Dr. Sharon Hunter, University of Florida graduate and licensed in Florida, brings her 30 years of veterinary experience to pets and their owners throughout the Valrico, Brandon, Lithia, Riverview and neighboring areas.
Dr. Hunter is a graduate of University of Florida and has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in the Tampa/Hillsborough community for over 30 years. Her compassion for pets and their owners has made her a much loved pet practitioner. Dr. Hunter is married and has 5 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
Dr. Hunter is dedicated to providing your pet with comprehensive examinations, because she and her dedicated staff know an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. Recommending what is best for your pet and providing education is essential for preventing illness and ensuring a long life of wellness.
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Dr. Sharon Hunter will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Noah's Ark Animal Hospital for service. Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic.
Ginny has more then 30 years experience making dogs and cats beautiful. She graduated from the Florida School of Dog Grooming in Tampa and has been with Noah's Ark Animal Hospital from the start. She is a patient & caring groomer who truly enjoys her work and is beloved by her many clients. Ginny has been married for 43 years, has 2 grown daughters, and has 4 grandchildren.

My chihuahua suddenly fell very ill it is so terrifying he is my baby, I looked at several veterinarian offices and I didn’t find any I felt comfortable with until I found Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital, I read pages of there reviews and the reviews on Facebook too, I read the doctors biography and was impressed, but the best part was dropping my baby off who has severe anxiety and who hasn’t been apart from me since we adopted him 5 years ago, the vet technician was kind and gentle with him, when she brought him back out to me he was distressed or upset. Dr. Hunter and staff are excellent! She is thorough, careful, explains all options, and gives thoughtful and good advice. She also goes above and beyond (enlightening me about my own dog's heritage was a delightful surprise). This practice provides a personal, caring atmosphere and you can tell they are passionate about helping our pets.

My family has been taking our pets to Noah's Ark since we moved here 20 years ago, and I still bring my dogs there today. Dr. Hunter and her staff are exceptionally compassionate and understanding. Even though they might not see my dogs for months at a time, or even an entire year, they always remember everything about them; their little quirks, or minor medical issues from years ago. Whether it's just a routine checkup and vaccinations, or something more serious, I won't bring my dogs anywhere else.

My dog’s vet passed away, and since then I could not find a good place to take my 15 year old pup. A friend recommended Noah’s Ark and I am so happy she did. Happy with the Doctor, the staff, the environment and their prices. They care and I appreciate that. I would highly recommend them for your fur babies, whatever they may be!

I have been bringing my furbabies to Dr. Hunter at Noahs Ark Animal Hospital since 2001. Dr. Hunter and staff have always been very knowledgeable and loving in their care. We have since moved 45 minutes away and still make the drive. I was actually shocked recently when my daughter's pediatrician didn't call to follow up following a small procedure, considering that's the care I'm used to thanks to Noah's Ark! We recently saw Dr. McKinley when Dr. Hunter was out, and were very happy to find that quality of care seemed to be a high priority with her as well.
