Welcome to Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital where our goal is to help your animal family stay healthy. Our veterinary hospital has been proudly serving the Brandon, Riverview and Tampa area since 2003. The veterinarians and animal hospital staff, at Brandon Lakes Animal Hospital, strive to maintain your pets' well being by providing them with individualized care.
Originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dr. Woodside moved to Florida in 1985. He met his wife Kathy of 25 years at the University of South Florida, where he graduated from in 1992. After working several years in retail he entered veterinary school at Ross University in 1997. He went on to graduate from Ross in 2000 after completing his clinical rotations at Purdue University.
We strive to provide the best quality of service and care to our patients and clients. When you visit our hospital, you can expect to be welcomed by our staff in a friendly and professional atmosphere. Our team is comprised of passionate veterinary health professionals who treat all patients like members of their own family.
Laser Therapy is an FDA-cleared modality that reduces inflammation and that results in pain reduction. Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions, and post-operative pain. Laser therapy treatment is safe, painless and fast. Treatments to deeper tissues are administered in 5 to 10 minutes.

Dr. Haire saw my little 1 1/2 year old kitty and she was so nice and professional. The facility is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and got me in quickly for my emergency. I will be bringing my cats here from now on.

These guys are so great! we had to take one of our furbabies in for an emergency. They worked us in, addressed all our concerns and took great care of her! When i got there to pick her up after a day of observation, i found out they had been extremely short staffed for the day! Through it all they were kind, professional, caring, and took such great care of us and our baby! We never knew the stress they were under, just felt like we were the most important ones there. I talked to several patients while waiting and the absolutely told me how great the office was and why they still come there even

missed diagnosis told me it was a gland that was swollen but it really was a tumor. All they did was want to run more test and o we wont charge you that much 3000.oo dollars later i had to put my 2 year dog down. The web site is nothing like it really is . Beware

The staff at Brandon lakes is outstanding and provides more than anything I’ve ever received at ANY other vet!
They are SUPER knowledgeable about English bulldogs which is a HUGE plus! English bulldogs are a super delicate breed and to know that they knew so much on them definitely made me feel super comfortable.
They’ve made our puppy Yoda back to normal and he’s a happy little puppy again!
You can tell the staff here definitely LOVE what they do and it’s not just a “job” to them.

I can't thank Dr. Haire and everyone at BLAH enough. They helped us get through a very hard time saying goodbye to our precious Molly. Dr. Haire was very sympathetic to explaining Molly's cancer diagnosis and… giving us our options. Even when our plans had to change very quickly, she was there ready to answer any questions we had. I have brought my dogs to this vet clinic for 7 years now and every one I come in contact with is great! I highly recommend them.

My most sincere thank you for your genuine love and concern for our fur baby. You can truly see the compassion in ever person there. This week was very hard for us. We has to put our beautiful Lois down. Dr.… Woodside did everything he could to see if there was a chance to save her. Unfortunately there wasn’t due to organ failure but he and his staff are amazing. Dr. Heppner, and Dr. Rodriguez are so amazing. The entire staff took a very difficult time and made it so peaceful and loving. No one wants that day for their pet to come but I’m am very thankful and grateful to this

I have experienced recent unprofessionalism, Low Quality service ,not Reliable , Responsiveness not good. We have been with Brandon Lakes for a little over a year with 3 pets. They have always given great service until recently when our newfoundland became really ill. I can’t get a vet to call me back, every time I call with a question a… technician texts me or leaves me a voicemail. The doctor has yet to call me to talk to me regarding my dog and my questions personally. The lack of personal care is apparent. I am being told diff things by different people. I called yesterday to double

Dr. Rodriguez treated my french bulldog/chihuahua for the last 2.5 years for his congestive heart failure, renal disease, and dementia. He's extremely knowledgeable and kind. I believe he kept my baby going far longer than the average life expectancy. The medical and front office staff are great. The only thing negative I can say it they are more expensive than other vets I've been to.

So happy we found Dr. Woodside & his friendly staff! Finally a vet that understands English bulldogs, their challenges, and options for a high quality of life. The last place we went to wanted to rush Munch… immediately into surgery and said the surgeon would explain the pros/cons of the procedures the morning of the surgery (not prior) and then I could make a decision that day if I wanted to proceed. We came here for a second opinion, and I’m SO glad we did! Dr. Woodside thoroughly explained all of Munch’s options and it was not straight to the surgery table. Thank you,
