Finding the best home inspector before you make an offer on a home is very important. You will want to make sure your inspector has the certification by a professional association, licensed and insured, knowledge and experience in the building industry, a reasonable fee (bargains waive red flags), and someone who is honest and thorough, provides a clear contract and a detailed same day inspection report.
Purchasing a new home may lead to future costly issues if It not revealed before closing. A home inspection will save you money instead of paying more out of pocket later to fix the issues. To prevent a poor investment, having an inspection will uncover if there are any problems that need attention.
A 4 Point Inspection looks at the 4 major systems- Roof, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC. An insurance company wants to know that an older home has been well maintained, and the major systems are in good working condition. This is not a safety inspection and does not replace a standard home inspection. They are done by a licensed inspector or building contractor.
A wind mitigation inspection will look at certain features of your home to determine how well it can stand up to the high winds associated with tornados and hurricanes. They were extremely thorough with their inspection. they picked up on things that I would not have thought about checking myself. Adam was very punctual for our appointment & was amazing with answering any questions I had with my report done on my home.
