At A Better Tomorrow: Behavioral Health Care Center I specialize in working with eating disorders, maternal mental health, depression and anxiety. At our practice I am passionate about helping individuals struggling with major life transitions, whether that is working with young adults struggling with issues surrounding emerging adulthood or mothers during the transition to parenthood.

I strive to provide you with individualized treatment and look at you not as a disorder but as a person wanting to make changes in order to enhance your happiness and overall satisfaction with life. I understand that deciding to seek therapy can be a difficult decision and I hope this website provides helpful information about my practice, as well as some useful references on eating disorders and other psychological services you may be seeking.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and both my Master's Degree in Science and my Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

I completed my internship and post-doctoral training in the Eating Disorder and Self-Injury partial hospitalization programs at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.I have experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to clients struggling with eating disorders, self-injury as well as general emotional and psychological issues including depression, anxiety and Bipolar Disorder.
I believe that our own thoughts, feelings and even our day-to-day behaviors, have an impact on our emotional and mental well-being. We each have messages we have received throughout our lives that playback in our minds. These messages can be empowering and useful to us. It may be the belief that "I can do anything I set my mind to" or the thought that "this too shall pass."
I accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO. After a session, I will bill your insurance for their portion of the bill. You will be responsible for paying your deductible and/or co-payment at each session by cash, personal check or credit card. Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO: I am a preferred provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO.
The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. In the initial session I will ask many questions and discuss with you the issues or concerns you would like to address in therapy. Together we will develop an individualized treatment plan to meet your goals. Clients under 18 years old are asked to have a parent/guardian to attend at least a portion of the initial session.
If you are reading this, there is a good chance we have a session scheduled together. I am looking forward to meeting with you, but before you come in for your first appointment, I would like you to review my practice documents and provide some information about yourself. You should have received an email from Simple Practice with login information for your client portal.
