Chuck Baldwin owns and operates Investment Inspections of upstate South Carolina. When not inspecting properties, Chuck is a dedicated family man who spends time with his children enjoying the outdoors. Before opening Investment Inspections in 2002, Chuck served in the Army for 4 years and then began working in the building industry.

Anyone in the market to buy an older house should steer clear of this inspector. Before purchasing a 1970's brick ranch, I paid Chuck to inspect the house and trusted the inspection report. Almost a year and a half later- and nearly $25k in the hole, I decided to look back at the report. Several items were clearly just "checked boxes". He stated the heating source was a gas furnace. It was an electric heat pump- which failed within 2 months of purchase- $6k. The roof leaked in several places- another $12k. He said I had city sewer..I ended up finding out I have a 50yr old septic tank that had never
