SC Inspector, LLC is a family owned business. After working for franchise businesses, SC Inspector was started in 2008 to offer more value and understanding to each client. The home buying and selling process can be very stressful. We will provide you with a thorough and professional home inspection to make sure that you are well-informed about the home you are listing or purchasing.
A home inspection helps provide buyers peace of mind by giving valuable information on the investment they are about to make. This service is also important on new home construction. All home inspections are different and can vary dramatically from state to state, as well as across counties and cities.
This inspection includes the placement of testing devices to measure the ongoing level of radon in the habitable areas of the home. We typically use continuous monitors. These devices will let us know actual house conditions several times every hour. These measurements evaluate the level of radon to determine if any form of improvement is required.
One reason home-sale transactions fall apart is because of defects discovered during the Buyer's Home Inspection. Typically, the buyer and seller negotiate the terms of the sale and agree on a price for the home. The sale is conditional on a home inspection. After the inspection the buyer gets the report, finds out the home is not perfect (none are) and feels they have overpaid.
If you're new home is 10 or 11 months old, it's time to do a new-home warranty inspection; especially if you did not have the home inspected before purchase. This may be your last chance to get repairs made to your home at the builder's expense. Many new-home owner's are having their homes inspected one or two months prior to the expiration of their builder's home warranty (usually 12 months).
