Sorry to say that I received an annual membership to this gym for Christmas in 2019.
I had to have non-elective surgery in January 2020 and was not allow to work out for 2 months. Called the gym and they put my membership on hold, no problem. Restarted my membership in March, got in a week of workouts, then COVID hit and the gym was closed until late 2020. Having some of the risk factors for COVID, it was clear, for safety sake, that I could no longer workout in a public gym. Visited the gym in person numerous times to try to cancel my membership, but to no avail. I was told that I needed

Was a member here for 6 years. Amazing views of Channel Islands Harbor. Also has a sauna and small outdoor workout area. Lots cardio equipment upstairs and machines and free weights downstairs. Trainers are inexperienced. Staff us friendly. Named The Edge because the owners name is Cliff. At Harbor Village.

Good lesson for me in making sure I read the reviews before I go somewhere. If I had read the reviews, I would have known that they regularly rip people off if you decide to cancel you "month-to-month, no hidden fees" membership.
When you sign up, they say you have to give 30 days notice, and they make you pay the $99 annual fee, plus the first month, and "LAST MONTH".
I went in last week to advise that I was cancelling my membership. This was 6 days before my next 30-day billing date to give my 30 days notice. Remember, they had already charged me for "Last

Great gym, absolutely beautiful setting in Channel Islands Harbor. Small and very comfortable layout where it feels more like a private club and I never have to wait for equipment. Great staff and the price is fantastic. I wish it was a litlle bigger but it does the job for somebody who does not want to be a bodybuilder

Used to go here but I took my business elsewhere due to one reason. The gym trainer is a hispanic man perhaps 35-45 years old and he is RUDE. He comes off nice to women or new members but he would always stare me down and command me to put my weights away before I even finished my work out. Who does that? A prejudice person from oxnard of course go figure. So I left and never came back. The girls who work there are cool they just work and clean but this trainer guy is a total tool...

I joined Edge Fitness just shy of one year ago. I signed up with a rep that was "filling in". I asked if I didn't want to renew each year how that works. I was under the impression I would receive a notice asking if I wanted to renew. I did not know that I was signing up for an auto-renew program nor was such indicated to me. When I saw the pending $99 yearly renewal fee post to my pending transactions I contacted the gym and said I did not want to renew and asked them to cancel the transaction since it hadn't posted yet and my anniversary bill date was actually 15 days

Similar to the other post. When they asked you to signed the contract they mentioned that is a month to month, no commitment ( even they advertise that) and they don't provide you a copy of your contract. When I called the billing department, they never advised me to provide submit my interest to cancel my contract in writing. After two years, they never contact me or mailed any notification, I received a call from a collection agency charging me for two years when I only use the services for 2 weeks ( when I called and I requested to cancel the contract). They only misadvised customers to

Similar to the other reviewer who had the "adversarial" experience when cancelling their membership, I also had an unpleasant experience. I was on the "pay first and last month plan." However, the staff member signing me up did NOT provide me with a copy of the membership rules or go over them with me on my first day. I gave notice to the gym on the 1st of the month that I would need to cancel because I was moving out of the area. According to the rules (again, which were not provided to me when I signed up), the gym needs notice by the last day of the month. The manager
