Before you impact any building materials you should sample for asbestos containing material. If you already interrupted potential asbestos, stop work and vacate the area, we can test immediately to find out if it was asbestos. Asbestos testing is regulated by NYS Department of Health, NYS Department of Labor Industrial Code Rule 56, OSHA and the EPA.
Before changing, impacting, or demolishing building materials, you may want to sample for mold. If suspicions based around moisture, ominous smells, or visible discoloration abound, testing is an option to consider. If projects expose the possibilities of mold or moisture intrusion within a home or building, halting the project may be a stong consideration.
Radon testing measures your home, building, or office to detect if there is a safe level of radon presence within the structure. Generally, structures that test over 4.0 pCi/L are deemed to be properties where radon mitigation is a suggested remedy. There are two types of radon testing devices, passive and active.
Before you start renovations or impact building materials, it may be in your interest to test for materials that could be contaminated by lead. If you have started work and feel you may have interrupted areas that may be contaminated by lead, it would be wise to stop and vacate the area. Testing can immediately commence to see if lead is present.
Radon Passive Sampling - Charcoal canisters, alpha-track detectors, charcoal liquid scintillation devices, and electret ion chamber detectors. We can test for almost anything within your indoor air environment: Dust, Mold, Asbestos, Lead, VOC's, Water, Soil, etc. Find out today what's bothering you and let SECG start to make you feel better!

Asbestos Shingle Removal - We had a large job (3000 square foot roof with high angles and very steep slopes). From start to finish my interactions with EECG were first rate. Working with Brian Walloch was a breeze and his crew (Steve, Randy , Marco and more) were highly professional and courteous, even when accosted by nosy neighbors! I highly recommend EECG and would contract with them again.

I had a basement with close to 200 feet of asbestos pipe wraps. It was also full of water damaged junk including an old boiler that itself was covered in asbestos. It was an awful mess. Brian came and got me a quote very quickly. The quote came with a link to a couple different (outside) financing options and I got that set up right away. Two weeks later there was a dumpster in my driveway and a crew of people cleaning up my basement. This was easily the biggest job I’ve ever hired out for and it went off without a single hitch. I can’t recommend them enough.

I hired Syracuse Environmental and Construction Group, to perform mold and radon testing on a home I was interested in purchasing, along with hiring a Home Inspector.
I was provided a proposal for the testing I wanted performed, prior to the scheduled appointment. Andrew W was my contact and he performed the testing as well.
Andrew was knowledgeable, professional and addressed all my concerns before, during and after the test were performed. He easily identified problematic areas with the home, took pictures and performed the tests.
When the lab results came back, he provided me with the information

I am really glad to find a company like this. In retirement, I am faced with converting the family farm into a residential property. That means removing a 4000 sq ft corn storage structure and excavating a buried gasoline tank safely, responsibly and consistent with strict environmental requirements. SECG completed both projects with great expertise and professionalism. They plan carefully for the work to come, but also deal with unexpected problems with great problem solving skills and optimism. Their staff are awesome to deal with. The process included follow-up testing for pollutants so I and

Syracuse Environmental assisted us with a radon issue in our home. They were very knowledgable and very easy to work with. Within a few days of my call to them, there was a tech at the house and efficiently took care of the issue. They provided a follow up radon test which showed barely any radon at all. Overall, a professional and reliable company to deal with and the know how did get the job done.

Steve came highly recommended to me and I’m so glad I chose to go with them. I had a terrible case of mold taking over my kitchen cabinets all caused from a minor roof issue. They exceeded my expectations from the time I made my first phone call all the way til the job was completed. I couldn’t be more happy!

I got the name of this contractor from Home Advisor to handle a radon abatement system repair. After my initial inquiry, I was advised someone would get back to me and when I received a call back, I was advised that there is a $250 service call plus the cost of the repair. I agreed to that cost and was told that someone would call me again to schedule
an appointment but I never received a call back. I got the feeling that they did not want to be bothered with my request.

The level of expertise and professionalism we received when using Syracuse Environmental was impressive. We had some water damage that was left unattended for a long period of time which made things worse. The whole process from start to finish was a lot less painful than we anticipated and at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Steve Nardozzi and Syracuse Environmental Group!
