Like all martial arts schools, the Ken-Shin-Kan School has its own theory and was established by its founder Master Seiichi Yoshitaka Akamine (1920-1995). Master Akamine who possessed the grade of 8th Dan black belt (graded by the Japanese Butokukai), and was amongst one of the highest authorities of Goju-Ryu styles in the world.

Adults train in the martial arts for a variety of reasons. Today's adults are faced with many pressures that can hinder their health. Martial arts is a great way to release stress, anxiety and other daily pressures. 1. Stress relief: We all have stressors in our life. Getting rid of bad stress in your body through a karate program is an excellent way to stay healthy and improve your fitness, not only physically, but also mentally!
Here at Palm Beach Karate School we are very proud of our Competition Team. Our team consists of a group of students who train extra hard and dedicate themselves to the competition. We have had many great results including multiple national champions, multiple national Team USA members, and international medals as well!

I have to said that I'm so happy with the professionalism and the kindness of the instructors. Convenient schedules for working parents and the cleanness of the school, specially now during Covid-19. I have to said that my child was out a couple day since he was sick, and I received a couple phone call checking on him from the school, even a Get well soon card and this was a special touch of caring about his health and he is also able to replace the missing classes. Sensei Maria is constantly communicating his success and what the next steps will be, good communication is key for me. I recommend

I signed my child up for 12 trial classes and was only allowed to complete 9. I informed both ladies from the beginning that we would only be able to attend 1 class per week. They assured me that was fine. At six weeks I started getting notified that my membership was expired. I called spoke with a young lady was reassured that we would be able to complete our 12 paid classes. So we kept going for 3 more classes. The manager/owner then pulled the plug.. Said no the trial is only 6 weeks, I reminded her of the conversation, she said she would give me a call back and i never heard from her again

Great school, My son Daniel, start when he was almost 5 years old, now he is 11, and through all this years he has learn so much not only the techniques of the Karate, but responsibility, respect and never give up.
I feel very please for all the knowledge that Daniel has develop in the school. Sensei Maria and Sensei Alex and all the teachers taught him values that he will keep for ever. I keep recommending everybody the awesome experience to be part of the family of PALM BEACH KARATE SCHOOL.

I have brought my sons, Kevin and Bryan Cruz, since they were 5and 6 years old; they are now 11 and 13. Bringing them here was the best decision I have made for my children. With the teachings from the school they have grown to be disciplined, respectful and patient. They are on the competition team and little by little and with a lot of hard work they have been able to get better results each time, not only in competing but in their self confidence through the teachings of the professors.

I am very pleased to watch my son transform into a focused and obedient little boy when he is in this class; I love the environement and I love the one on one attention each student gets here. This is a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enroll their kids into a karate class.

This is a wonderful place for our children to learn the discipline of karate, for my experience with my son Cristian, this is the best karate school of West Palm Beach, the way they teach is very special, because while they learn a great karate, they teach children to work as a team and to have more self confidence, they give a kind treatment and make everyone feel part of a family, the human warmnth and the professionalism of sensei Maria Eliana, sensei Alex, sensei Marco and all the school staff is excellent. 100% reconmended!!!
