DuWayne Animal Clinic is an equine ambulatory and small animal clinic based in West Chicago, IL. Started in late 1940's, it has been your local and familiar veterinarian ever since, evolving with the region from a mostly-dairy farm animal practice to the equine and companion animal practice it is today.

We provide wellness, medicine, and surgery at our small animal clinic, and offer full-service equine ambulatory care and 24/7 emergency coverage on the road for your horses.

They love animals . Dr. Kuhn is down to earth, up front. No big fancy clinic, no hidden offices..just a little house with one small exam room and few chairs to wait.
He cares.

Called me back when they had a cancellation. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and in no rush so very easy to talk to. Took good care of my pup, and at a very reasonable cost.

I have a 175 lb Rottweiler who seems to like them. Not to mention the beautiful lady who came to help with my big buddy. Doctor is the best and would recommend them hands down.

This is not my normal vet, but I had a couple of draft horses who needed bute for hoof abscesses and didn't want to drive over an hour to my vet to get it. My farrier recommended Duwayne and they were able to get me the bute right away.

Very helpful! They love animals and won’t just do a procedure for no reason! Fair on price.

Always the best care-with an encyclopedic level of hands on experience for anything that has come up over the years with my herd--I never second guess anything Dr Kuhn has recommended--His care and follow-thru is second to none.

A vet who knows what they are doing, even when it comes to breeding. I was shocked when I found out my old vet had never had gone through the breeding process. (Not that I breed my dog.) Prices are good. Advice has always been spot on and practical! Place is older, simple, and sometimes a little messy. That may scare a few people away. I'll take experience and lower prices over that fancy upscale place. Limited hours may be a downside for some. If your dog isn't social, you may want to call ahead as waiting room is small. My dog has no problem with it.
