Driven by a similar passion for food and entertaining, founders Tony Franco and Matthew Macon, launched Food Experience in 2007. We create custom menus for Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Corporate Events, and for Any Event that needs Celebrating!. We strive to HAVE FUN and COLLABORATE with our clients, local farmers, vendors, partners, and most importantly our co-workers, to CREATE a unified team that produces amazing food and guest experience.

We have partnered with Asheville Poverty Initiative's 12 Baskets Cafe to reach even more people in our community. We prepare and donate food for 12 Baskets Cafe.

We hired Chef Tony and Food Experience for a Personal Chef 30th Birthday Dinner, and it was fabulous. From the quick response of Matthew in setting everything up and helping us create a delicious and diverse menu selection to Chef Tony's fantastic food and presentation, we loved everything about the experience.

Flawless! Matthew and Tony were very accommodating in creating a phenomenal dairy and gluten free 3 course meal and hors d'oeuvres for our wedding. Our meal was exquisite and served timely. Everything was on point, and Emily was incredibly attentive to anything we could possibly need! They packed up and labeled all the extra food, which my guests fought over in the following days. We are still talking about how delicious and perfect it was 5 months later!

Food experience did an amazing job catering my wedding! The guests raved about the taste of the food as well as the portion size! The catering staff set aside plates and left overs specifically for me and my husband. They also seemed to make a point to come to us first with the passed apps so we wouldn’t forget to eat. I absolutely highly recommend for wedding catering!

Matthew and Tony's food was delicious! Everyone kept asking for their name if they did carry out. I received a personalized menu that Matthew patiently requoted for me as our numbers changed. Food Experience helped with a lot including table set up, placement, cake cutting. They also made sure that my husband and I each had a full plate at our table when we sat down. So happy that we found them, they were great and so was the food!

Matthew and his team were incredible throughout the wedding process. Matthew was super helpful throughout the planning. He continually updated our quotes through many iterations and was a very helpful resource for any questions we had. Then they hosted us for a tasting months before our wedding and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The food at the wedding did not disappoint either. From the appetizers and the main course, it was delicious. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about the food. The wait staff and the bartender at our wedding was also superb and incredibly nice.

We've had the pleasure of working maybe a dozen events with Matthew and his team, and let me tell you, these guys are awesome! The food is always wonderful and their staff is first rate. We just got married and used Food Experience to help cater our wedding. My favorite part of planning our big day was meeting with the Food Experience staff to sample different meal options. We ended up going with a pasta bar which was a big hit at our outdoor wedding and it was budget friendly. The food was good and the staff was great! I HIGHLY recommend letting them cater your next event.
