Casa del Rey Mexican Restaurant was founded by Alicia and Guillermo Rey in 1972 in Temple City, California. In 1991 Alicia and Guillermo's son and daughter in law, Ed and Donna Rey purchased the Temple City location. Ed and Donna opened two other locations in the San Gabriel Valley. Casa del Rey Jr in Arcadia 1995 and Casa del Rey in Sierra Madre 2004.

In 2006 we sold the Arcadia location and 2014 we sold the Temple City location bringing us back to only one location nestled in the quaint foothill village in Sierra Madre. Casa del Rey uses 100% soybean oil with Zero Trans Fat & No MSG. All items are prepared to order. All the food is prepared with the freshest produce and meats and the chips and salsa are made fresh daily.

Perfect lunch! There must have been an entire chicken breast in the enchilada, and the chicken soup was superb! Great food. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful service! They were so accommodating in seating and positioning heaters near our party of 6 outdoors. The food was amazing. 5 of us thought their order was exceptionally delicious. I had the shrimp quesadilla. It was the best one I've ever tasted. Definitely want to go back again.

Worst service I’ve ever had in my whole life. The only thing worth eating here is the free chips. Save yourself the money. Don’t eat this bland food

Amazing friendly staff. My server Esmeralda was amazing she made sure my order was correct and I appreciate that. Lacey was the bar tender I loved her aura she made me a delicious margaritas one of the best I've had in a while. Melissa also made sure I had my salsa when they ran out she went above and beyond to provide it for me. I love this place thanks for the wonderful service.

We had a wonderful lunch there. My wife had steak picado and I had a taco salad. They were both delicious. We have been to this place several times and we do recommend it highly.

This place is wonderful! My wife and I make an effort to go every Thursday and love hanging with Nick, who is one of the owners. He is an awesome dude and a great bartender! They always start you off with their wonderful homemade chips and salsa. The margaritas are delicious and the food tastes like good ole home cookin! They have a happy hour everyday and they always have the Dodgers on. I highly recommend this place. Go enjoy yourself in beautiful Sierra Madre.

The long wait for The food to arrived to out table was well worth it Our server keep on checking on us and bringing their habanero sauce and tortilla chips. Delicious food... Correction...OUTSTANDING!! steak plate, shrimp, pork in green sauce... Complements to the chef.

Great food ! We’ve came here a couple of times & each time we come we get the best service from Nicholas. He is very kind, friendly, and gives his customers the best service. He is fast & makes sure you get attended correctly . Other waitress take too long or don’t look to make sure everything is okay. Nicholas was always around making sure everyone he passed was well served & that is the only reason I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars if it weren’t for him I would have probably done my first 3 star review. Make sure when you come to Casa Del Rey to ask Nicholas to be your server !
