Achieving the rank of black belt is an amazing accomplishment that requires training, dedication, and the desire to reach a lofty and honorable goal. North County Martial Arts' black belts are some of the best in the nation. Through NCMA fun but challenging curriculum, students learn what it takes to become a skilled martial artist both physically and mentally.

NCMA is a great venue for our girls and our family. With excellent aftercare, play, and Karate lessons our children have thrived in this environment. They seamless transitioned to full-time care and education and our kids are still loving NCMA. It is not only great for kids but for our entire family as family participation in special events is encouraged. We look forward to the return of once a month Ninja nights that give couples the joy of alone time! NCMA 5 Stars!

From a student: The instructors teach us how to have self discipline and are a group of very committed people. From a parent: this family owned business makes our family part of their family. In this pandemic NCMA stepped up to support working parents in supporting our kids with distance learning while also providing important physical activity and social connections for our 2 daughters.

Our family was NCMA members for 2 ½ years. When we joined, our oldest was 5 years old. When our youngest turned 4, he and my wife joined as well. We were active members in their programs; classes, ninja nights, testing, etc. Although it did seem like a bit of a cash grab, we gladly paid our membership dues, as well as additional charges for the events, and equipment. They even asked my wife to help instruct a new class of younger students.
Once the pandemic hit, NCMA was no longer able to conduct live classes. They did eventually offer a couple virtual classes, which at the time, offered no discount

NCMA has quickly felt like home. The instructors and staff are world class and the classes there have a GREAT balance of maintaining the traditional values of Grandmaster Hwang Kee and keeping Martial Arts fresh and relevant. PLUS they’ve done a bang up job staying safely open throughout this COVID chaos. This spot, I’m convinced, is THE premiere Martial Arts experience in North County San Diego.

Thankful for NCMA - such an amazing place for martial arts, life skills, after school care, and so much more.... it’s literally like my sons home away from home. My son has been going to the after school care program at NCMA for over a year and he is always excited to go - mostly because the staff is amazing, they care for the kids and provide them with an environment to succeed. Communication is great and I enjoy seeing my son go through the different belts and keep on learning. During this crazy time, having a place like NCMA is a blessing. Thank you Master Jones and team.

I have been training at North County Martial Arts for 20 years and have been apart of the community. North County Martial Arts is a traditional Korean Style that emphasizes on self-defense, self-discipline and forms. I started out in the traditional program. I later became apart of the Demonstration Team and Weapons Club. North County Martial Arts has many different programs making it a great option for both children and adults. I have enjoy learning both the techniques and building my endurance.

NCMA is a great family oriented martial arts school with experienced and caring black belt instructors and mentors. Our son has been training and studying here for two years and he loves it. He is learning self-defense, self discipline, respect and responsibility in a safe and fun environment. We are impressed with the skills and confidence he’s gained and look forward to seeing him reach many more milestones. We highly recommend NCMA!

We LOVE North County Martial Arts!! This karate studio is my second family. Their staff picks up my kids from their tiny charter school and brings them to the studio everyday. They encourage my older boys to be leaders for the younger ones while also encouraging them to train everyday and always work toward their personal best. They have optional parents night out every month and a great summer camp program. My boys are not only getting exceptional karate training, they are also getting life training! I highly recommend this studio and their after school program!!
