I had the chance to train at 10th Planet Ocenside this summer for a week and was welcomed with open arms despite being a Master 5 female. I learned a lot that I am taking back home and had fun challenging rolls. The instruction was amazing and relaxed at the same time. Extra bonus I could walk back to the beach after training where we stayed. I highly recommend the experience. Just a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere.

Amazing place to train nogi Brazilian jiu jitsu and grappling. Geo Martinez is one of the most humble superstars I have ever met and his gym was welcoming to my family when we were in town to train for a week.

90 day Review update
I'm an older guy, late 30s, looking to stay in shape after the military. Finally decided to try this and signed up after the basics class.
Basics-
Felt like being thrown in the deep end of the pool at first. There really wasn't a "hey anyone new over here, let's go over basics" moment.
Update- there are 2 classes designed for beginners, the 7pm all skills classes also encourage higher belts to team up with new members.
Just get in where you fit in and good luck. I like that style to a point. They do not baby you with the building blocks of BJJ.

Training at 10thPlanet Oceanside is the best gym my family has ever been a part of. The coaches, the classes,kids programs, all have been great. As far as classes and competition goes this is the best school in north county. The coaches are World Class competitors and even better teachers. If it is your 1st day or your looking to win a world title, this is the place to be. The culture and vibe is very hip, overall just a cool place to be. The people are welcoming, humble and kind. 10P4L!!!
