Services
Roma Funeral Home has been serving the Tri-hamlet area families for over 40 years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. Our mission is to never lose sight that we are entrusted with the care of your precious loved one.
Planning a funeral can be overwhelming, but you are not alone in this. We're here to support you throughout this journey and make this process one of love, healing, and life celebration. Below is some information to help you get started, but you can contact us at any time if you need help.

When a loved one dies at home or in a place that isn't a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care.If your loved one was under medical care, it's a good idea to call their physician as well. If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.
Planning a funeral service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. But it's important to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can begin to find closure, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss.

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support as they start the journey toward healing.Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.
Personalization isn't just about honoring your loved one's individuality. It also allows family and friends to feel connected to the services and the life being honored. We work closely with you and your family to get to know your loved one's life story so we can make their services as personal as possible.
We're proud to do our part in honoring our country's veterans. Our duty is to provide you and your family with professional and dignified assistance during your time of need, and we promise to support you in honoring your loved one for their dedication and selfless service. Former military members who served on active duty and departed under honorable conditions.

Matt and the staff at Roma Funeral Home were very kind, patient and sympathetic to my family during the passing of my uncle Carlos. They made the entire process smooth and easy for us all. They provided us with beautiful memorial cards and we also bought the urn from them. They even helped guide us through the "after process" and gave us important and helpful information for steps to take next. I can't say enough about Matt and the Roma Family. Thank you for helping us navigate through this difficult time. We appreciate you and everything you've done for us all. Many Blessings to you and yours

My mother in-law passed away and with the Covid-19 Pandemic the NYC Funeral Homes were at capacity and not taking new cases. In Roma Funeral Home I spoke to Matt who who help us in the process, he was very courteous and compassionate.

My grandmother passed away this week and Matt helped us through every step of the process. He was warm and compassionate. He listened to all of my family's concerns and made sure all of our needs were met and that our wishes were taken care of. Everything was prefect and just the way we wanted. She looked BEAUTIFUL. She would have been so pleased with everything. Helping people through the most difficult days of their life is a true calling. It requires love, compassion and patience. We truly fould all of that in Matt and everyone we dealt with at Roma from beginning to end.

They are a wonderful and professional family and did a beautiful job on my dad's funeral. It was lovely that they took my dad to the house one last time and put a rose on the porch. They are amazing!

Bottom Line: Hope I don't have to go back but if I did I would go to them.

My brother handled all of the details. He went to Roma and was very pleased and pleasantly surprised by how much of the process they take care of. We were going to bury my Mom but found out that the plot was full, but they could fit in ashes so we opted for cremation.

They will take care of notifying the SSA, order certified Death Certificates, contact the Medical Examiner and arrange for transporting the body and then the remains.

I know that this is all standard but it's not something we all do on a regular

Today I buried my Dad, I just turned 31 years old and he passed away with not a clue!
He stayed in Island Assisted Living in Nassau, passed away 10 days earlier (mothers day 5/10/2015)... Not 1 person wanted to help me ( really help me, not just say they feel my pain and charge me an arm and leg)... I searched tons of funerals but than I got a hold of Barbara, she is the mother of the family business and she introduced me to social services and veterans that could help me with the bills. FAMILY is the Key word here, here this family business stayed with me for hours making phone calls, getting
