We started humbly but with a grand plan: To create the finest restaurant with a family atmosphere and down home cooking. From our beginning in Ridgeland SC, in 1996, and then moved to Walterboro in 1999. We've grown and grown and exploded to this point where you're reading this right now and probably salivating.

I had the shrimp and grits while my husband had a cheeseburger. His was ok, nothing to write home about. Mine was edible but not what I expected. The grits were sour tasting and chunky. And the fried onion straws on top were stale. Hope they weren't just having an off night but sadly we won't be trying Fat Jack's again.

Definately worth a visit. Very local, full bar and has been in this place for 20yrs+ . We showed up at 9 and they close at 10. We were seated promptly and our server was very polite and nice - Ms. Skylar. I ordered Chicken tenders plate with coleslaw and potato salad. He ordered a philly cheesesteak with fries. I have to say they have the best ever slaw. It was done the right southern way as we're potato salad. Slaw was even served with crackers. Yep. Disappointed. Was highly recommended, but didn’t live up to the recommendation. Went for lunch to try out their burgers.
Astonishing fast service. Faster than fast food. I’m not even going to speculate on that.
I personally had a black and blu burger, supposed to have bacon, pepper jack, blue cheese, Cajun spice. No flavor/spice taste.
As you can see in the 2nd picture I’ve included, the one with onion rings on top of the burger, about 1/3 of my burger patty was missing and not replaced. Sweet potato fries were also lacking.

Service was great, food was good. My kids got salmon and it was delicious. My husband got ribs and they were good but not as tender as I expected. I had chicken Alfredo. The sauce was good. (I’m picky about my Alfredo sauce) but the chicken was rubbery. All the sides were great. We had southwest egg rolls as our appetizer and they were great. Overall the food, service and prices were very good.

Hot and fresh!
We stopped here for lunch as we made our way to Sanford, NC.
I gotta say, the food was excellent.
I got a turkey burger on a pretzel bun that was cooked perfect and served with fresh toppings.
We sat outside and was served by friendly staff.
They have a nice menu so I'll definitely be back when back in town.

We stopped here on a whim while heading to Savannah, and it’s the perfect local restaurant to eat at. We ordered Chicken Alfredo and the Queen Cut Ribeye, both coming with salads, and both were phenomenal! The seasoning on the steak was one of the best my husband has ever had. The pasta was very good, and the salads were perfect. There is such a wide variety of options on the menu to choose from, and even koi fish to feed outside. The reason for losing a star is the waiting staff. While they were very kind, I personally don’t enjoy when the waiter or waitress does not write down my order and

Wow. The veggie plate was amazing!! Collard greens were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lima beans were flavorful, the Mac and cheese was super cheesy and the garlic potatoes were great. We learned that Moss Hope comes in every morning at 5am to cook up these meals and she does not disappoint. Big servings and great service.
The tea was yummy too and ohhhh that cornbread. Amazing stop right off the interstate. I'll definitely be back .
