Having expereince in both the allopathic and Chinese medicine fields, Erica J West RN, LAc, emphasizes a natural, holistic approach to healing in an era dominated by westernized medicine. Using the tenets of classical Chinese acupuncture, which includes cupping and acupressure, coupled with her extensive training in Qigong and Taiji, she recognizes the profound healing effects of ancient eastern traditions.
She uses such energetic practices to treat not only the symptoms of disease, but also their root cause, thereby addressing the whole body and providing a positive therapeutic approach to enacting greater health.

I came to Erica with a tendinitis in my elbow, being a little unsure of whether acupuncture would help with this issue or not. I did not want to go the route of pain killers and/or cortisone injections just yet so I thought I'd give it a try. It took about 7 treatments but my pain did go away, and I could feel an improvement after each session.
Several thousand years ago, East Asian practitioners discovered that the body forms disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life. Oriental medical theory explains these disharmonies as an imbalance of opposing forces called yin and yang. This imbalance disrupts the movement of the body's vital energy (qi) along the meridian pathways, which are channels through which the body's energy is thought to flow.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture has helped countless women for generations to promote and better maintain a more radiant complexion. Unlike modern alternatives to cosmetic enhancement such as botox injection or plastic surgery, facial rejuvenation using acupuncture and acupressure offers a peaceful, non-invasive approach to enhancing one's beauty.
Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect. While many cultures have herbal medicine traditions, the sophistication of Chinese herbal medicine is unsurpassed. Chinese herbal medicine has a long history reaching back several thousand years, and the resulting system is now used to treat everything from the common cold to certain types of cancer.
