NEV-CAL Home Inspections was founded in 1988 by Chief Inspector George Wolf as a sideline to his remodeling construction business. As home inspections became a integral part of the home buying process, George phased out his remodeling business in 2004 to grow NEV-CAL into the company it is today.
In 2012 George's two sons Andrew and Randall joined NEV-CAL Home Inspections as certified home inspectors bringing their experience in the building trades and business management to the company.Together they have continued the commitment to excellence in the field that clients have come to expect from George and NEV-CAL.

Services
As ASHI certified home inspectors and certified by the State of Nevada you can trust the NEV-CAL team to honestly and objectively provide you with a comprehensive analysis of the home's major systems and components. Our inspectors adhere to the ASHI standards of practice in California and NRS 645D standards of practice in Nevada and our written reports are detailed with color coded text and embedded pictures.
Andrew joined NEV-CAL Home Inspections in June of 2012 after leaving a career in the telecom and ISP industry. Although his first career path was in technology, engineering, customer service and business development, Andrew is no stranger to the building trades. Growing up, Andrew spent many summers working in the family construction business learning many aspects of home construction and mechanical systems.
Randall has worked in the building trades for over 20 years. As a home inspector he puts his knowledge of construction to good use. While attending high school in Truckee, CA Randall worked for the Wolf family construction business. After leaving Truckee for college he continued trade work on his own and for various firms in both residential and commercial settings.
George began his home inspection business in 1988 as a sideline to his remodeling construction business. Over the years it went from part time to full time in 2004, when he stopped doing construction work. George is an advocate for continuing education in the home inspection business due to ongoing changes in home construction.
Linda retired from her every day office duties as scheduling coordinator for Nev-Cal Home Inspections in 2015 passing the torch to her daughter-in-law Hollie. Linda does continue to fill in for scheduling during busy times. She enjoys communicating with Realtors and clients to set up the inspection dates and getting the pertinent information ready for the inspectors.

These guys just finished home inspections for us and they did an AMAZING job. No stone was left un-turned (literally). We are super confident that they caught every last minor detail/issue in the home we were looking to buy and feel very secure in proceeding with our purchase. They were prompt and the reports were sent to us extremely fast which was so helpful as we are nearing the end of our escrow period. HIGHLY recommend this company.

We had two really great inspections performed by Andrew at Nev-Cal in the Fall of 2017. For the first inspection booking by phone with Hollie was quick and efficient, and for the second we used their online booking tool, which was clear and fast and easy to use, with in-person follow-up shortly thereafter from Hollie. For each inspection we provided a list of concerns and questions up front and each time all those items were addressed in detail. The inspection reports were quickly delivered and well-written, with detailed photographs. But best and most impressive of all was the time Andrew took

NEV-CAL just completed an inspection of my home in Tahoe Donner. The report was thorough and well documented. Photos of everything were clear, comments were rational. Their price was below their Truckee competitors and everything went like clockwork. What else could you ask for? I would use these folks again.

I had a great experience with Cal Neva. The office staff and the inspector were courteous and generous with there time. While I don't have extensive experience with inspections and the reports I have seen several from different companies recently and this was one of the best. It provided detailed notes and then a summary of marginal and defective items. I spoke with both the office staff and the inspector regarding questions I had and they both answered all my questions till I was satisfied. Because I was concerned about a roof item I hired a roofer to further inspect, he was able to confirm

Wow! What a great example of how trying to squeeze a few bucks out while completely disregarding customer service can backfire:
This company inspected a home for a buyer who pulled out of the deal. We were provided the inspection documents by the seller within a several days of when the inspection was done. (The inspection legally becomes part of what the sellers have to disclose to all subsequent buyers.)
In reviewing the report, we realized that
1. The inspector MISSED in his report numerous issues that we saw ourselves - issues that were obvious ones, visible to the naked eye.
