I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. Having trained in acupuncture, Rolfing Structural Integration and Thai massage, I have a lot of choices as to how I work with an individual. Which modality or which mixture of modalities I use depends both on the desires of the client and my own sense of what will work best to serve those desires.
We come to an agreement as to what is most appropriate. For information on each of the treatment modalities, read my Acupuncture and Rolfing information.

Acupuncture is a method of bodywork involving insertion of very thin needles into areas of the body identified as acupuncture points on acupuncture meridians. Different styles of acupuncture developed both within China and in other countries of the Far East.
I practice in two traditions - a Japanese method involving no or minimal stimulation of extremely thin gauge needles, and a Chinese method involving stronger stimulation of slightly thicker gauge needles.Stimulation of the needles is provided by several methods including gentle twirling. Which method is best depends on attributes of the person receiving.

Rolfing Structural Integration is a form of therapeutic bodywork developed in the middle of the 20th century by Ida Rolf, considered by many to be a pioneering genius. Structural Integration, as developed by Ida Rolf, is a ten-session cycle of treatment that balances myofascial relationships with the goal of normalizing movement.

Interested in rolfing, but scared it will hurt? Don't want to commit to a years worth of sessions to get results? Sara is your answer!!
She is so gentle, but is still incredibly effective with her work. She will take the time to make sure she is making changes in your body. Watches you walk, move, etc. asks how you feel with each "adjustment" to your body. She will go at your body's pace, and what you are comfortable with, but still get amazing results!
It doesn't get any better than this folks!

I saw several acupuncturists and massage therapists, did herbs and ibuprofen but my tennis elbow would not go away. I couldn't even lift a coffee cup without pain. I saw Sara for an hour, she did gentle Rolfing and some other "point-holding," and I am almost 100% today. So much so that I need to be careful not to go out and use that elbow for heavy work again. She also recommended an elbow band and anti-inflammatories, so I was impressed that she knew I would need a combination of things to help me.
She also does Thai massage, so is able to choose from a number of treatments depending

I've been going to her for rolfing for about 3 months now and I absolutely love her!!!
I was hesitant at first to go see a rolfer because of a seriously traumatizing experience I had with another rolfer a few years back (basically told me that I was a structural disaster that a lot of very important bones were shaped wrong and only 10+ sessions of rolfing will fix me along with a few other nasty things) After much encouragement from a friend, I finally went. She did not require that I buy a 10 session package. She asked me about my comfort/pain level throughout every single session
