Had the beef tacos. They weren't the best but a long way from the worst. Pricey but filling. They are good. Not those Lunchable looking nachos some place was selling. I liked them a lot and I am not big on "Mexican" food.

Don't. Just don't.

You'd be better off standing in any other line twice as long. Obviously the staff wants to pedal customers through like there's no tomorrow but my goodness. They are rude.

They don't let you pick two different tacos and the ones they do give you are laughable. Super mealy tortillas on runny meat tacos.

Save your $9 and go to shake shack next door!

Pros:
- Had the chicken tacos, which were very yummy. The corn tortillas were fresh, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. However, that's pretty much all you get in the tacos. No cheese, no extra toppings.
- Elote (AKA Mexican street corn). You HAVE to get this. Corn on the cob covered in a mayo-type sauce with cheese and other yumminess sprinkled on top.
- Line moved a lot faster than Shake Shack next door!

Cons:
- Expensive. But, you're at the stadium. Did you expect the Dollar Menu?

You get maybe two tablespoons of mush with twice as much salsa in a cup to put on a double soft taco. Not at all worth the price even after I combined the two tacos fillings into one.

No wonder there was no line.

Small portions, not enough meat!
The nacho chips are tooooo salty for me and of course everything was over priced. You're better off getting dinner somewhere else before the game.

The nacho's were sooo good. My hubby got a burger at shake shack and was sorely disappointed. They give you a huge portion, fast. I will definitely go back when we come to see that Nat's!!

Food is not too bad but the line is incredibly slow. Even when the line is short, it takes an inning to get your food. From what I can tell they get behind cooking the meat. The entire staff seems confused.

Shake Shack is next to this place and the line moves three times faster.

Skip Shake Shack, go to El Verano instead. I got a veggie burrito and it was drool worthy. Filled with delicious seasoned rice, portobello, corn, salsa, and sour cream, and cheese. It tasted great!

They have some interesting offerings for a baseball stadium food joint, such as corn and churros.

But, why so expensive (ugh because it's in a baseball stadium?) 11 dollars for a tiny burrito. It was amazing, but it disappeared so quickly into my belly. If they had Chipotle sized portions, I'd give it 4 stars.

I've been here a few times when I come to Nats stadium. It's a bit pricey for tacos in my opinion (but that seems to be the rule of thumb at Nationals Park). Simple concept: 3 tacos with your choice of meat: chicken, carnitas, or barbocoa. You can also choose a quesadilla if you are not feeling like tacos. With just 2 stars, why have I eaten here more than once? The line is short.....and when you don't feel like standing in line for an hour, this will be ok.

So, hate to start on a negative note, but man, these guys have got to get their act together. The woman who took my order was nice and friendly, but the kitchen staff pretty much ignored her when she tried to get my food! It literally took more than five minutes for someone to pick up a pre-made churro and hand it to her. No manager in sight to make things go faster. Food was okay, decent for ballpark food, but not worth the lousy service.

Authentically Mexican. Unfortunately the most authentic aspect of the tacos is the linger impact on your digestive system. Frequent trips to the toilet for three days so far.

5 Stars for the corn.
I've never had corn taste like this but the cheese and cayenne they put with the mayonnaise or sour cream looking thing looks and smells...different...but tastes GREAT! I get it everytime.

3.5 Stars for the tacos
Tried one of each, chicken was probably best. There was a weird cinnamon flavor on the pork.

I was drawn here for the same reason everyone else was: the line at Shake Shack was too long. However, even though there were only a few people in front of me at El Verano Taqueria, it still took an entire inning to get a chicken quesadilla.

Apparently they only offer tacos and quesadillas. Fine for me because I love quesadillas, but I don't even think Chipotle can get away with offering only a few items of traditional Mexican fare. So this place definitely can't.

The service was awful. There were plenty of people working there, but it was almost as if they forgot they were on the

El Verano Taqueria is the perfect place to eat at Nats Stadium if you're a 20-something spin class enthusiast female young professional looking for a reasonable dining option at the park, careful to not ruin the diet you've been following since bathing suit season is just around the corner.

Or if you're a fan of starving in general.

Not but really, while in line I thought, "$7.50 for three tacos!? Man it must be too good to be true. Wow those people in line at Shake Shack are SUCKAAAS." Then I got to see my order of three tacos and was like, oh. I've just been

The three tacos were the size of one normal taco at most taquerias, and I never complain about quantity when I eat out. For $7.75 at least throw in some filler as the shriveled shells were close to empty. Not sure what happened to this place but it has changed drastically since last year. Rip-off.

Dude, we were THE only people in line before a game and it took them 10 minutes to scoop the meats into our tacos. Tasty...but I now understand why there was no line. The toco's were very small as well. There were also like 15 people working but they were so slow. Almost intentionally slow.

El Verano was a strange experience. I had the chicken mole tacos, which was shredded chicken in a salsa verde, with mole sauce on the side. It was strange because the chicken itself was tasty, but when eating it inside the soft taco, I did not like it at all. I might try something else though - I really did like the chicken.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the tacos. $10 for 3 tacos is pricey, but that's what to expect out of anything sold at the ballpark.
