In 1978, Jon Lief founded Great Lakes Gem Company in Cleveland, Ohio as an importer of fine gemstones from around the world. Ten years later, with a growing business that now included jewelry-making, consulting, appraising, and selling and buying estate jewelry, we moved our offices into the Citizens Building, Ohio's busiest jewelry hub, now called the City Club.
When you're ready to liquidate your diamonds, gems, jewelry, watches and other valuable items, you can count on Great Lakes Gem Company to get the best possible return on your items. In fact, we recommend having your estate and inheritance jewelry pre-assessed, or evaluated before it's time to sell (or keep) them.
We offer our free consulting and appraisal services to individuals and families who wish to know the value of their jewelry, including estate and inheritance jewelry, and to be an outlet for the items if the heirs wish to sell. When we meet, we'll also clean your gem and jewelry items pieces for free.
