Eddie Johnson and his wife, Melba bought Holmon Funeral Home in 1948. They changed the name to Johnson Funeral Home and quickly made Newbern and the surrounding area their home. When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

This company is exactly like family, they have been there for several of my family: aunt, infant niece and my mother and no one could have done more nor cared more.
As of today another family member has been helped by this family, Thank you all for your witness of the love of God while families are grieving.
God bless you

Five stars. I can't say I loved it because I had to plan the funeral for my departed Mother. However, during the week leading up to the funeral, the Williams' family gave me a place of solace, comfort & support. They helped me find old photos of my Mom & made a beautiful video of her life. They are amazing people that help you through a difficult time.
