Dr. Callahan knew from an early age that he wanted to be a Veterinarian. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he was accepted to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Once he graduated he worked as a Veterinarian in western Massachusetts and then made the decision to move back to the North Shore, where he grew up, to open his own practice.
Jeri came to Ipswich Animal Hospital 10 years ago. Similar to the rest of the staff, her love of animals brought her to a position assisting clients at the IAH front desk. Jeri has three children, 2 cats and dog. She has been known take off to the island of St. Maarten to a family home and spend time enjoying the sun and relaxing atmosphere.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Ipswich Animal Hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to manage all your pet's health care needs. Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of vaccination pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and Heartworm preventives to meet your pet's needs.
First: we must remember our pets can't speak and cannot tell us if they feel unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. Because of this, we need to examine them every 12 months as well as run routine screening tests to detect underlying diseases BEFORE they are clinically apparent. Second: our pets are really, really good at masking their illnesses until late in the course of disease.

We've been taking our dogs here for 6 years. Dr. Callahan has been wonderful with them all.
And when we had to help our Boxer unexpectedly cross the rainbow bridge, the care and compassion he showed was first class.
He has helped with a multitude of illness, injury and curiosities since then. I highly recommend .

He may be a wonderful vet but that’s only if he likes you. My dog had a “physical” Dr C. Did nothing but listened to his heart and said it was fine. He said his ears were fine but he didn’t even look into them! Then said dog was fine for being a hundred years old! That was 5 weeks ago, my poor dog died yesterday at 13 years old. Don’t waste your time or money on this vet

Have taken my two puppy's there as well as my parents dog. Dr Callahan is the nicest most professional vet I have ever dealt with thus far. He's straight forward, and honest in his opinions. Most vets I have been to try to get as much $$ out of you as possible and recommend needles things. Not here. he came into the room and started playing with the dogs as if they were his own. He was very nice and professional. I have enjoyed every experience thus far there and am happy with his work and his opinions on things. Most of all he listens, which surprisingly is hard to find out there! I have 4 dogs

My dog Rebel was hit by a pickup truck just after 6pm on a busy street near my parents house a few weeks back. From the outside everything seemed fine except his tail was pretty badly mangled so I knew at a minimum he was going to need stitches. Then there's that unknown question of 'Is there any internal injuries?'. My dad googled "emergency vets near me" because it's after 6pm on a Monday so most places are closed. He somehow got a hold of Dr. Callahan who offered to meet us back at the clinic. Dr. Callahan was amazingly professional and straight forward. I was a mess so I appreciated the fact
