Gym was fine. Prices were fair.
1 star because I moved and needed to cancel my membership. Apparently "in accordance with Iowa law" this HAS to be done by certified mail, which can take up to 30 days. Which essentially means, you get charged at least one more time before you are allowed to cancel. I checked the Iowa AG website and yes, It does reference mailing in your cancellation notice. However, what Custom Fitness decided to leave out, is that this is in reference to cancelling within 3 days of your initial sign up. It doesn't have anything to do with just needing / wanting to cancel in general

I had a membership in 2020 around March during the time I had family members that came down with Covid I called and they said that they would cancel my membership. I know the policy states that you have to do it in writing however there was no way that I was coming in there! I Wanted to go back they told me I had to pay my previous balance which was $200 because it was never canceled I did just leave a message I'm waiting to hear back.. I've contacted them before over this issue I hope that this can be resolved.

Great value, tons of equipment, always allows you to bring a guest for free, rooms are very segmented instead of being a single giant room so if you are uncomfortable working out around a ton of people there is a good chance you can get some privacy still
Only downside from me is it seems maintenance on the cardio equipment falls behind at times

This is by FAR the Best Gym in town, hands down!
They have the best and most equipment of any gym and much of it, you won't find anywhere else!
The customer service provided is really top notch, and David, the manager is very personable, professional and easy to approach!
If I could give this place 10 Stars, I would!

I’ve lost up to 80 lbs with this gym. The reason I come back is because of the manager David. He is a good man, selfless, kind, fair and respectful. Anyone can go and feel at home there. I love the steam room, tanning, pool, massage table and sauna in addition to the exercise equipment. Very affordable!

I highly recommend Custom Fitness to anyone looking for a gym membership without breaking the bank! I love that they give you different membership options and a variety of ways to commit unlike other gyms I’ve been to. They have a trial period too for you to come in, check the place out, and get a few workouts in before committing to see if it’s a good fit. They have every piece of equipment you could need to fulfill your workout and always seem to be bringing in new equipment as well. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to!

I use this gym when I visit from AZ. It meets my general needs, however, if you are looking for a gym in the CR area definitely take a long look at this one befor making a commitment.
These are the things that I find less than desirable! One of the screens on the machines black out for no apparent reason. They do not keep their equipment up-to-date. It is functional but it certainly doesn't help you to track your work out if that's what you want to do.

As a competitive bodybuilder, I need a gym that provides a lot of equipment, flexible hours, and space! Custom Fitness has everything I need! I've been coming here for 2.5 years and during that time they've made tons of updates with the building and equipment. They recently went 24/7 which is super helpful with my busy schedule. Definitely recommend!

I'm not impressed by this gym what so ever. They're billing me even after I've canceled my membership. I've called at least three times to talk to the manager and all his staff does is say he isn't in today I'll take down your name and number and have him return your phone call. But I never hear from him and still no refund and continuous charges on my account. I've also went into the gym to speak with someone higher up and of course no one was available.
