Margaret Vasquez is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory designation. She developed the NRI (Neuro-Reformatting and Integration) method of trauma treatment as an adaptation of the ITR (Instinctual Trauma Response) model, but with focus on connection as essential to attachment, health, wellness and post-treatment growth.
Neuro-reformatting and Integration (NRI) is an adaptation of the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) model of trauma treatment that focuses on healthy integration and connection. Traumatic memories are encoded in a way that causes the emotions to remain present, thus causing the survivor to continue to feel and/or behave as though bound by the painful events of the past.
Through this collection of case histories, the physiology of trauma is explained in a clear way that is easy to understand. Learn how people of all ages have found freedom through Neuro-Reformatting and Integration (NRI), a revolutionary, biologically-based model of treatment. This is not about coping, but finding the key to maximizing your potential after traumatic events.
Margaret has spent over 13 years as a licensed professional counselor and certified trauma therapist working in the field of trauma treatment with clients of all ages. A frequent guest speaker and lecturer, she has provided training and supervision for other clinicians, paraprofessionals and parents/caregivers.
Margaret has extensive experience presenting for television, radio, school in-services, foster/adoption agency in-services, workshops for religious communities, training for mental health professionals and many other settings and groups. Her ability to simplify complex concepts helps the participant to retain the valuable information she provides and apply it in day-to-day situations.
