You will find no worksheets in our classrooms - we want children to construct their work through their own imaginations. Children learn by doing - by exploring, let's face it, by getting dirty! We are here to guide them as they learn through the experiences and materials we prepare for them each day.
We, as educators, and you, as parents, all want to give our children the best possible start in life. We want them to grow into happy, productive human beings, to realize their full potential, to be capable of love, of work, and of responsibility. At Blue Ivey School, we realize that we are in charge of the environments and settings in which our children discover and develop.
I would like to take a moment of time to tell you why we chose to send our son to Kindergarten at Blue Ivy School. We had been attending Blue Ivey and was very happy with our son's progress for a couple of years prior to Kindergarten. We strongly believe in the old saying of "Everything I know I learned in Kindergarten."
Words, words, words! Toddlers are just sponges for everything they hear so we work to surround them with lots to see, hear and say! Each week we will explore a theme using all of our senses - touch, sight, sound, smell, and yes, even taste. Music and movement, sign language and art exploration round out our day.

Our 3-year-old son has been attending Blue Ivey since he was 2-years-old. Previous to Blue Ivey, he has attended a total of three other daycare programs since the age of 7-weeks-old. We were initially happy with his care at these other daycares, but we would become hesitant once he transitioned on to the next class. As he got older, we wanted to make sure that he received the best learning opportunity, especially at the age between 2 and 3. To say that I'm disappointed with this school, is an understatement. My son attended this school for several years but in the last year they have gone though some personnel change and it's not for the better. I tried talking with the staff about his learning and behavior disabilities that he was being tested for and I believe that because they were not equipped with the right personnel staff or they just didn't want to deal with him is the reason he got kicked out.

I walked in for a scheduled tour and the lady at the front desk did not even acknowledge me. There were children coming out of classrooms/areas of the school to the front just roaming around. The doors remain unlocked during the day and I asked if they lock the doors to protect the children from just anyone being able to walk in. The co-director informed me that there was nothing to worry about and there were cameras all over the building and they know children's parents by name and their cars. I found it odd that you are unable to live-feed into the school/classroom your child is in to see

I have had my son at this school since he was able to attend. The staff is great, they will help you and you child the best they can. The time the staff took to help my son become potty trained was helpful. When my son started preschool classes, he became more equipped than a lot of children did going into kindergarten.

How can this place have so few reviews? I cannot say enough positive things about Blue Ivey. Miss Logan and her dedicated staff run one of the cleanest, best organized day cares I've ever seen. They serve an excellent nutritious menu, have a great curriculum for mental and physical development and I KNOW my son is getting top quality care. We were with another daycare before joining Blue Ivey and originally thought we would go back once our son reached a certain age. But!!! Blue Ivey is truly as good as it gets. I have never felt more comfortable to leave my child with people other than my family than with the care of Ms. Patricia. My daughter loved all her teachers as well as the asst director Ms. Logan. All are very sweet, kind and they care for the kids. I was so impressed, which was making it even more hard to leave. We relocated and it's a 45 minute drive for us now and that is not a possibility to keep her here. The current daycare my daughter is now is total opposite. Trying to find a daycare similar to this great school.

This school is simply amazing, both my children have attended Blue Ivey school since they were 2 years old. It's not simply a day care, they really learn things. My younger daughter always has wonderful things to say about her teachers and the staff at the school. My older child is now in 1st grade and in a magnet school, all thanks to Blue Ivey's Kindergarten program. The 1st grade curriculum in the magnet school's program are subjects that have already been covered in Blue Ivey's Kindergarten program.

We love our school!! This place is clean, inviting, immaculate, and absolutely wonderful! I was a school teacher and knew what I was looking for....we toured around 12 schools until we finally found Blue Ivey and I can't believe we wasted so much time!!! I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the staff. The programs that they have are so engaging and beneficial. My son is beyond excited to go every single day and wishes we could go on Saturday! I can't say enough wonderful things about our school. I love them- truly and absolutely thankful for them daily.

Excellent does not adequately describe the quality of this school. The staff is amazing and they love the kids as their own. Ms. Nichols does a wonderful job at keeping us, the parents informed and involved. My son loves Ms. Thomas to pieces, as well as his teacher Ms. Jodi, who is great with the kids. It took my little one some time to get used to a new school, but the staff was so patient with him and really helped him get comfortable. Not only were they patient with him, but also me, since I would call everyday the first week to check on him. The lunches are healthy, and the school is very clean
