Jeremy Tu offers an unparalleled dental experience. As an experienced dentist, Dr. Tu understands the importance of empowering his patients.
As some of you know, Dr. Schminke worked with Dr. Tu for 14 years as a dental hygienist prior to her acceptance into the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. The idea of returning to Design Dental and resuming treatment for the patients she dearly missed served as motivation when the going got tough.
Best experience ever! I am a new patient at Design Dental and EVERYONE was very helpful and welcoming incliding the staff that were not directly involved with me. The staff answered all of my questions vividly and made me feel comfortable. I was able to get my exam, x-ray, and teeth cleaned all in the same day.

I don't like going to the dentist. It had been at least 10 years since my last visit and my previous dentist retired in that time. I decided to try Design Dental and they were great! Very friendly and explained everything they were doing or looking for. While I'll probably never enjoy going to the dentist, I feel more welcomed and comfortable going to Design Dental.

Everybody that worked there was a very professional and helpful. Every question that I had they were able to answer. Everything that they did they informed you what they were doing before it happened. I haven’t been to a dentist in a long time but because of the great experience I had I set up a six month check up. Highly recommend using them as a dentist!

I love my dentist! How many people can say that? I had missing teeth. I had stained teeth. I had all-around, ugly teeth. Because of my ugly teeth, I spent most of my life with my hand in front of my mouth. Because of my ugly teeth, I hated going to the dentist and then I met Dr Tu. Dr. Tu and everyone at Design Dental, were so kind to me. As a team, we came up with a plan and off we went! At the end of my treatment, I was handed a mirror. As I smiled into that mirror, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. I smiled when I walked out. I smiled when I drove home. I smiled and smiled

The entire staff here is extremely friendly. Dr. Schminke does great work too. I blew out almost half my front tooth and now it looks like it never even happened.
The hygienists are great too. One in particular was extremely patient with me. I have a phobia of needles in my mouth and she was extremely accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good dentist.

When I found myself in the market for a new dentist this year, I spent some time browsing reviews and asking around. I was also wondering how dental offices were handling the pandemic, from scheduling to cleanliness practices. Based on the recommendation of a friend, I decided to give Design Dental a call. I'm glad I did! They made everything easy and I felt comfortable the entire time.

Dr. Tu, the staff, and the hygienists here are truly amazing. I decided to use this dentist after several recommendations from co-workers and doing some research on my own.
There are a few things that's stand out - on your first visit, they greet you by name, clearly explain your intake form, and give you swag (it's a great coffee cup)! Once they take you back, the hygienist (I'm lucky enough to work with Megan, who is wonderful!) chats for a bit and walks you through what they'll be doing during your appointment.

The initial visit was pleasant and I left with my teeth feeling clean and feeling accomplished. Unfortunately this dental office was unclear about what my insurance covered. I asked several times, "Is this covered by my insurance?" and multiple times heard back yes. The surplus amount of X-rays they did (I believe it was 29) ended up costing me. After multiple phone calls and long discussions they said they would cover part of it. I still was required to pay over 100 dollars in co-pays.
I don't mind co-pays. What I do mind is being deceived. If they were unsure what was covered
