The Smith Funeral Home was established as the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home in 1955 by J. Donald Smith in Chadwicks. It operated there until 1970 when it moved to its present facility at 3022 Oneida Street in Sauquoit. In 1976, Donald's son, David, joined the firm and in 1998 the business was purchased by David and his wife, Lori, thereby continuing a tradition of compassionate and caring service by the Smith family.
In 2019, Smith Funeral Home affiliated with Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc, a family owned four generation firm. Very disappointed. Grieving over lost loved ones and trying to get answers about a head stone that is to be placed only to be talked rudely to by Mr.Smith and then hung up on before I could even speak. Unprofessional and not indicative of how a man in his profession should be. If I could I would not leave any stars.
