Parker Academy of Martial Arts (PAMA), United Martial Arts Center (UMAC), and Kicks Martial Arts (KICKS) joined forces to form CAMA (Colorado Alliance of Martial Arts). 3 locations, one family! Ms. Linda Wickes opened Parker Academy of Martial Arts back in 1998! A few years later in 2004 one of PAMA's very first students, Tim Luft took over ownership while Ms. Linda continued to play a huge role in the operation and student communication.
Master Luft continued to train alongside his 3 kids while owning the studio, and eventually decided to add a school called United Martial Arts Center into the family in 2016! UMAC was started in 1998 by Master Theresa Byrne, who still plays an active role at the school, teaching the kickboxing and self-defense programs.

For studio closure, we follow the holiday and weather policy of the school district that each studio is in. If they close the schools that day, we close the studio that day too. This policy is to ensure maximum consistency & safety for our students. We will always send out communication via email & social media for any weather-related or last-minute closures as well.
The dragon program trains 3 to 4-year-olds. We focus on saying yes to Mom and Dad the first time and developing focus, respect, and self-confidence. We teach 'safe adult/stranger danger' skills, kicks and punching techniques. With the younger kids, we also add a greater emphasis on balance, coordination, and other developmental skills as well!.
Our modernized curriculum not only includes traditional World Taekwondo Federation practices but incorporates elements of kickboxing, hapkido, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing to give our students the most well-rounded practical skill base we can offer them!. Our curriculum focuses on valuable Life Skills, not just kicking and punching.
One bright side to the pandemic is it inspired us to create a complete and awesome online training program so that you can get a full martial arts training experience from the comfort of your own home! We now have a ton of online tools and resources, including a complete online schedule so that you can train anywhere anytime.

This is an excellent Martial Arts Studio. It is very family centered and focuses on building character along with self defense skills. Our whole family has been taking classes together for a few years. Absolutely love the talented engaging instructors!

My husband and I were unsure about starting our 4 year old in Karate but we decided to give it a try. From day one all the instructors have worked with our son on his focus and attention as well as learning new skills. We couldn’t be happier that we decided to start our son in the program here and look forward to continue watching him grow in discipline and skill in the future. We highly recommend enrolling your child here even if they are young!

The instructors are very kind and understanding even if you can't get the moves down right away. Their also very descriptive as they not only teach but display the moves themselves. After class I also notice the precautions they take, sanitizing the used paddles, and even the floor mats. Overall a great learning experience for beginers and those more experienced. They also offer adult classes.

Excellent school full of committed and empathic teachers - highly recommend for kids! We tried a few different programs in the area before discovering this school for our 4 year old son. From day 1 the teachers were able to engage him in a fun manner that made him love martial arts. We are now one year into the program and can not wait to join our daughter once she turns 4 herself!

After trying out three other studios in the Douglas County area, we happened upon Parker Academy of Martial Arts. Fast forward three years +. Both of our children are students of the studio and their overall growth and happiness are truly a gift! The instructors and staff are amazing. The atmosphere is fun and challenging. We highly recommend PAMA to anyone considering Martial Arts for themselves or their children.

I started my journey at Parker Academy of Martial Arts in early 2000 because of the friendly atmosphere. Still today, it is a positive family atmosphere with great instructors. They have very flexible class schedules with classes seven days per week. I highly recommend coming in for a visit if you are interested in martial arts. You will not be disappointed.
