The rooms are clean & the private beach is amazing. So much less crowded than the public beach a hundred yards down. The staff is kind & professional. The rooms are bare minimum, nothing fancy. The property itself could use some updating & fresh paint. The walls are thin & kids start screaming at the top of their lungs at 8am but that’s how it goes at a family friendly place. If you are looking for a clean place with perfect beach location then you’ll be happy here.

The motel is run down and poorly maintained. I stayed 4 nights and they didn’t switch out towels or sweep the floor. As an ocean front motel these are necessary.
Not sure what is worse, mold on the shower head and controls or the fact they told me they couldn’t clean it due to COVID. Yes I have pictures

Well I'm going to keep this short but accurate. 4.5 star is a joke, think of the seedy beachside slasher motel. Now your in the ballpark. They had the nerve to demand making a copy of my credit card, I was not sure if the front desk staff were documented workers. This place is dirty with a capital D! If you're use to living in a dirty trailer park then this might be your nirvana but if you have a job making more than minimum wage look around! We left the next day, only stayed because we got there late and slept with our clothes on!!!!

Our visit was nice! The view and location is what makes this place but the buildings need major upgrades. We noticed alot of stuff that should be addressed. The stairs especially! Walking up to the second floor has old tile that could be very dangerous. It was slippery when it rained. The wood railing looked really unappealing and dangerous. The iguanas all over property was cool but anyone who has a phobia be aware. The rooms also need some upgrades. Old pipes that make noises when you flush! We did not see 1 trash can on the property near or around the pool/sitting smoking area which was inconvenient

The location is amazing! The beach is beautiful. While the beach by the pier is full... Here, it's private-ish so it's so much more manageable especially in covid times. The room is outdated which is really not a problem for me at all, I love older things and it was clean... It is a bit patched up, could use a fresh coat of paint, and a better ac unit. That said, it is livable, clean and on the beach! The location is the selling point! Also, the staff has been nothing but amazing. Overall it's been a memorable vacation.

BEST ACCIDENT EVER! EXCEPTIONAL PRICE, COMFORT, & SERVICE! We booked this resort on accident. We thought we had selected a beachfront in Ft. Lauderdale until I received my conformation email. This was the best accident ever. The staff communicated with us the day before our arrival to make sure they had our room ready to fully accommodate us. They were very nice and professional the whole time we were there. This was our first time staying in Pompano but it definitely won't be our last. We've already made plans to bring the whole 'Green Family' with us in a few months.

Small “mom and pop” style motel, right on the beach. Great location with walking distance to beach. Room was small but relatively clean (bathroom and floors were great, doors could’ve used a wipe down), bathroom was nice and updated. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. Might think about furnishing coffee and disposable cups, there was a coffee maker in room but no coffee. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. It worked well for us for a quick stay!

I made a 5 star review last summer and said I'd be back. Well I'm back! Another fantastic stay, and this time on our honeymoon. The pool was perfect and the staff was kind as always. Our room was clean and affordable. The Ebb Tide is making many renovations to make future stays even better. We can't wait to come back again next year and to bring future family here on our vacations! If you love a laid back quiet beach vacation, this is the place for you. This hotel has something for everyone. We are regular guests, visiting the Ebb Tide several times a year, from 3 nights to 7 nights. We have watched the amazing transformation of this gem in Pompano! From new grills, new tiki huts, pool chairs, paved walkways, and room upgrades. We always feel just as "at home" here as our own home. Karen is always welcoming, and Billy keeps the grounds beautiful. My daughter has grown up with Ebb Tide, and we will continue to come back. If you are looking for ocean front, relaxing, clean, and fun, you found your place. They have rooms for all budgets

We booked this hotel about 2 months ago and communicated that we would be traveling as a family with our young daughter who was 2. We were told it would not be an issue and they had a pack and play available. After a long day of travel we arrived at the hotel around 5pm or so. I went to check in, they charged my card and said they would bring the pack and play up to the room. I knew we were on the 2nd floor as it had the best ocean view. When I went up the stairs to get to the room, I saw alot of construction on the railing and all over the deck that led us to the room. There were loose pieces

If I could give half stars, Ebb Tide would get 3.5 from me. My husband and I stayed very last-minute after cruising and before flying out of Fort Lauderdale the next day. We both read several excellent reviews about this place. Many give the disclaimer that "this isn't the hotel for everyone" if you're looking for the most modern of amenities and that it's "old Florida". While I mostly agree with these assessments, there are some things that can't be chalked up to a kitschy, retro vibe; some things are maintenance issues that haven't been addressed.

Let me start off with the fact that I usually stay at the beachcomber, which I love, whenever I visit pompano beach. However, this time, I was taking our family dog with us and this was the only place that supposedly is pet friendly. As it turns out, my husband was approached by the lady working in the front desk, a brunette, and asked to put Max, our dog, away. She claims guests next door complained of the barking at 6 AM. Little did she know, these are the same guests that were up past midnight, playing dominos, drunk, and hollering profanity and disturbing the peace of all the other guests

Great experience. Called last minute Friday afternoon and was happily booked for the weekend. For being located directly on the ocean and a quick uber ride down to Beach Place, the rate was extremely reasonable. Our room had two beds, pullout couch, full little kitchen and dinette table. It was perfect for a long weekend of grilling out and wandering around the beach. I will definitely be heading back again and again - our new go-to spot for sure.

Lovely place, reasonably priced. Right on the beach. We walked on the beach for about 10 min to a burger joint for lunch. Staff delightful. Had a nice looking pool that I didn't have a chance to use. Room small but clean and pretty and comfortable. A small pond just outside our door had several beautiful koi. Sparrows and mourning doves, and other small birds spent their time flitting between the trees and bird feeder, chattering. Inside though is another story. Like an old motel it has cheap mattresses, thin towels and generally cheap low end furnishings. Only one lamp for the entire room, unable to open a window, no fan in the bathroom, even a hole in the wall .
Prices run @ $120. a day in season. Most rooms are efficiency, have some with full kitchens.
So if you are here for the beach only, you won't find a better place, here is a quiet stretch of beautiful
