Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food, as well as wonderful pools and ocean access! they also seemed to be doing a great job with covid protocols! would definitely recommend!

Oh yes, you can go wrong, very wrong. This hotel is played, unclean would be an understatement. The staff is of the less accommodating variety and not so bright side. Judith, especially, does not understand the concept of customer service. She will drive home how much you should not stay there.

When I say dirty, I mean you will feel the nastiness under your feet as you walk through both the hotel, and your room. They have air fresheners hard wired into the rooms to help cover up the smell of mold and unclean.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay anywhere else. You'll be happy you did.

It is really loud. You will be woken up every morning by doors slamming in the hallway and the cleaning staff talking really loud in the hallways. The doors are really heavy and they slam on their own. there is no carpet etc to absorb the noise. I was woken up every morning starting at around 6 30 am. The AC unit is also unbelievably loud and as my daughter said the internet sucks and by sucks I mean it doesn't work. Beautiful place and great location. But the staff not great not hospitable at all! There was no proper greeting just asked for our name and told us our room was not ready, we waited for 2 hours and and still nothing I was very upset and asked what was the hold up, then all of the sudden the room was ready! Our room was nice except for the bathroom it was small and the shower head was about 5 and half feet from the floor I am 5’9 and was not able to take a decent shower. Fabulous views from the ocean front room but the floor wasn't cleaned properly on arrival. Felt sand on my feet. They sent someone up to clean again after I called in . The staff were very friendly. Especially Vernon and Elizabeth! The outside restaurant and bar were great as well as a nice place to meet up with friends, hear music and relax.

Back in 2018 I treated my cousin, brother and friend to a week and a half long trip here. I got us a room and a Villa. We loved it so much we extended our stay another 3 nights. Rooms were nice, amenities were nice (except for a downstairs lobby - Smell), staff was nice and the location was great! Their was so much to do.

We had a delicious dinner at the bar last night (9/24) from the drinks and appetizers to the entrees it was awesome. The atmosphere , live music, college football on the big screen, tiki torches, great bartender...all good!! Its on the beach and a worthy destination

All good! The people with negative reviews need to get a life...somewhere else. Doubt they will ever be happy.

The Beachcomber is a fabulous resort. We were here for a long weekend event, and it could not have been better. The staff was friendly and helpful. Claudia was especially attentive with ice water and a smile during the midday heat. The king partial ocean view was large and clean with good views of the main pool and the ocean. It was wonderful to be on the beach for the sunrise this morning. We are looking forward to our next stay.

We had our wedding at the Beachcomber. It was a small wedding with 30 guests. The coordinator, Lynn, was wonderful! Knowledgeable, helpful. The decorations, food and cake they provided was absolutely beautiful. The staff was helpful and encouraging. The day ran without a hitch. All our guests raved about the food. The Beachcomber continues to go downhill. The majority of the rooms have not been renovated in at least 30 years. It appears that they renovated 5 rooms solely to put updated pictures on the website.

When I walked into the room, I could still feel sand on the floor from the prior visit. It is not a good feeling to walk into an unclean room, especially when the Beachcomber refuses to provide housekeeping services. The excuse that it is due to COVID is laughable. The resort was lovely and comfortable. The staff was friendly and always helpful. It was nice having a private beach and staff to help set up umbrellas, chairs, and bring drinks and food. We ate and got smoothies from the cafe and they were good. Of course food at a resort can be expensive but the prices at the cafe weren’t overly exorbitant. This has been my 5th visit to Beachcomber Resort! I stayed at this place before it was remodeled! It's heaven tucked away in good old Pompano Beach! All employees and staff are so welcoming! Food is great, service is great! I will be back down in September!

This hotel is in shabby condition and grossly overpriced. Room wasn't clean, coffee maker had no water tank, internet didn't work, bathroom was tiny, and water pressure was extremely low. All that for only $380/night plus tax!!!

I used to absolutely LOVE the Beachcomber, but things have changed. Now, I guess the worst of the changes is the live non-stop karaoke style singer that sings daily 4 pm - 8 pm by the outdoor dinning area thus destroying any chance of sitting peacefully on your room's ocean front balcony. The music is WAY too loud. Both pools once open without restraint are now gated. The pool also have VIP rentable areas, which are laughable. The tiki bar that was quaint and nestled in the back is now a large bar that serves the restaurant and beach traffic. The floors of our room were dirty when we checked

So this is the new Beachcomber, we used to go to the little bar they had by the pool Steve was the bartender and the nicest guy, always a fun afternoon. We would get a room and make it a weekend.

So the new Beachcomber is open, the bar was moved down to the beach where you can sit and look out over the ocean, it is really nice. The owner called earlier to apologize for the lack of empathy from his staff. His apology seemed genuine and said he would have a meeting with his team. What his staff doesn't seem to understand is that their attitudes affect so many people. Customer service should be everyone's number one priority.

Wonderful family-owned hotel that keeps us coming back year after year. The location is fabulous and the layout of the resort is incredible. they've gone through a recent renovation that has made the place shine and sparkle. The huge oceanfront rooms are now white and up to date. The tiki restaurant down by the beach is a great place for a meal and the bar is beautiful.

We love this place. Great location, staff are awesome as are the food and drinks. The resort is safe and well sanitized. Ask for Debbie in the restaurant for great service!

We love this place, we stayed here for our 26th anniversary. We like to come here at least once a year because we live in paradise. The new renovation looks beautiful. Every day they play live music by the pool, which is so lovely. We love going on yelp when we're here to try to find local breakfast and dinner outings. We have a lot of fun when we find A great new place to eat. It's so nice when we come here so we could just relax and bring down our day-to-day stress level and just enjoy life.

Always a good time we are regulars. Love the new look of the bar and pool. This is a must staycation! There is a restaurant on site as well as waiters that can take your drink order whether on beach or by the pool. The staff is always so nice. There is extra parking and food just a quick walk down the street.

First time for us at the beachcomber and wow can I just say it was amazing! We are locals but have never come to beachcomber and had dinner recently in the restaurant and were overwhelmed with how good the food and staff were! Our server we had was Raymond and he was super accommodating and always expected what we needed! I will definitely be back because of him.
