Louis Cairo's Restaurant - Williams, CA is a restaurant with a rich tradition of fine Northern California and Italian cuisine. Please look at our menu. From our 16oz. Sizzling tenderized calamari, lightly floured and pan fried or sauteed with green onions, mushrooms, and white wine. The food is basic Italian food of great quality, and "Louie bread" (garlic lovers take note!) to die for.
This is my new favorite restaurant, the steak was perfectly cooked it was juicy and tender. Stick to the Louie bread, a cup of minestrone and a glass of cabernet and you will never go wrong.

Services
Louis Cairo was the son of Italian immigrants who ventured to the United States seeking the American dream. January and Peppin Cairo eventually settled with their young family in Colusa County in the early 1900's. They had little money so the entire family worked together picking prunes until they saved enough to buy a prune orchard, then another and another.

I have been stopping at Louis Cairos for over 30 years on my way to and from Northern California on my fishing excursions. This is a great hometown family style Italian restaurant. Period.
I used to get the ravioli (in a large cup) so it's easy to eat in the car, but I found that all of their meals are warm tasty and filling. Tonight, the lasagna!
I will recommend a stop as you're driving by on Highway 5- in the in the town of Williams. Many to head over to Granzella's, which is just fine, but don't forget about this locally owned restaurant with home cooked meals!

I have been going to Louis Cairo's since I was a little girl, it has changed very little in that time, more casual dress requirements are about all that has changed, the good has always been and still remains some of the best in the area. Primarily Italian foods, with some of the best, veal, lamb and prime rib. The absolute best part is the garlic bread, layered with garlic, real garlic, not powder or just a few shredded prices if garlic but 1/4 " thick in garlic on top, and now they make the same style garlic bread layered with melted blue cheese, and I cannot pass it up any time I'm there. Been wanting to try here and got to try it on a work trip. Love it! We are in the bar and had wine and beers. I had the half spaghetti and half raviolis, salad and blue cheese bread!
Omg. Soooo good. The hostess was friendly and on it. Bathrooms were clean and well lit. I'll be back next time I'm up this way!!

I'm a regular here and have been for many years. My issue lately have been the waitresses in the bar and the bar manager Jen. Jen is rude, forgetful and unpleasant to my partner and myself. We bring our kids in here more than once a week along with friends and family who have also noticed a negative change. Watching her ignore us time and time again while she's overjoyed and welcoming to others is becoming stressful and uncomfortable. We will no longer give our business to this establishment. We've had several friends and family also notice her negative change along with many of

This place must have changed owners or something. I've been here a dozen times in the past, and it's always been amazing. Loved the Louie bread before, but not now.
Used to be your mouth would be on fire from all that delicious fresh garlic. Tonight it tasted like soggy, sickly-sweet, canned, garlic.
Bummer

First time coming to this place. Waitress was very nice. We went in before their close time, and although there was a rush to get our food order in the rest was not rushed. Food was good, however a large party was at the bar, and my drink order took over 15mins waitress said she didn't know when they would get to my drink. Therefore I decided to just cancel the drink all together. Meal was kinda on the expensive side for what we ordered.

Let's just say tonight's dinner was death by garlic. Ordered the blue cheese garlic bread and let's just say I didn't know it was possible to ruin garlic bread unless you burned it. I even told the waitress it was terrible and she said "oh" and walked away (no offer to fix it...this happend twice during dinner). Our steak and calamari were cooked perfect ) but they didn't season with any salt. Even the garlic bread and mashed potatoes didn't have salt. Sorry Louis Cairo's in Williams we won't be back and I suggest you don't bother either unless

Saw this place on yelp tonight while traveling. It was a quick walk from the hotel. We were promptly greeted and seated with water and menus. The server recommended a great local beer on tap.
I ordered the petite fillet, a baked potato, and side salad. All their dressing is made from scratch, the blue cheese is amazing.
The meal came with a small antipasti salad...salami, pepperchini, red & garbanzo beans, & olives, & carrots. This was a great addition on top of the side salad that came with my meal.
My bacon-wrapped fillet was cooked perfectly, medium rare, juicy, and stayed warm

This has been a long time family favorite for over 40 years now. I took my mom on a little drive here last weekend. It had been well over a year since having eaten here last and we weren't sure what to expect with getting the food to-go during Covid-era dining. The food was as good as it's always been!!! The service was prompt, friendly and they got our order exactly right (including all sauces, sides, condiments, etc). You can't go wrong with some raviolis and Louis bread. We were extremely impressed with how good the food was as this was the first time not having it in the restaurant

3.5 stars.
I like going up to Colusa to see the winter birds at the National Wildlife Reserves, which is how I discovered Louis Cairo's in Williams. This place reminds me of Seasons in Lone Pine, ie, a "high-end" establishment in a pretty "low-end" location, but they've been there a long time so they must be doing something right.
The thing to order here is beef; they know how to age it and cook it, and it's good. They also have a very good (and reasonably-priced, although you can go full on if you have the wallet for it) wine list. The décor is utilitarian
