Casa Carlos did not disappoint
Food came out promptly and was as delicious as I remember.
Definitely a staple for Mexican food in Marysville.
Love it
Not all things have to change, glad casa Carlos got the memo.

Usually great. This day, food was cold. I had a steak sandwich and fries. The sandwich should have been warm. My friend's salad was disappointing . Did not seem fresh like normal. We will be back. It was just a bad day.

Terrible customer service! Stopped in tonight to have a quick dinner. Tried to order steak fajitas made into a burrito. I was told "we don't do that here". I replied to my waitress that they did it for me just last week. Her flippant response was "well, I'm not going to do that for you". So I said OK, great! Can I have my check please? We got up and walked out. Moral of the story, I thoroughly enjoyed my fajita burrito at El Zarape! Will not be back...

It was busy and crowded which shows quality, food was good despite small portion in compare to other Mexican restaurants. Customer service is great, seems they hired all beautiful young ladies on town 😜. My total was a lit over 15 bucks for the food you can see in pictures. Nice decoration and vibe.

Me and my fiancé had dinner here last night. I got the shredded beef flour taco and rice wet with cheese and it was delicious!!! She got the chicken flour tostada and she loved hers as well. Decent sized portions, too. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Great food, good pricing and amazing flavored margaritas! The staff is always so friendly and the historic bank structures are very cool. One of my family's Go-To restaurants in town!

Great Mexican food! The fajitas are the bomb, along with their homemade tortillas. Ask for some picosa salsa to add to the table salsa if you like it spicy. The chips are always fresh and the margaritas are yummmm.

Early 5pm Sunday dinner. Not overly crowded at this time. Immediately greeted and sat down. Nice booth seats. They also had standard stole table and chairs. Very comfortable. Great waitress. Bummer that I don't remember her name. Chips and salsa A+. Medium to mild. Dinner was the usual items. Both my son and I went steak fajitas, flour tortillas. The tortillas were A+. Unfortunately, I wasn't so impressed with the steak fajita portion. Honestly, the steak wasn't all that. It's the first time I've not cared for fajitas, I'm 52 and a fan of Mexican food. Take that for it's worth. So this plate received

The chicken is good I love the rice and beans but I do not like there steak. And for a Hispanic restaurant not to have some form of carna asda. I just never came across that yet I guess... the people there are super friendly and got great service skills . The dinners are huge . And the food is all cooked perfectly and plated nicely. Just wish they had some softer beef choices other then ground beef of course wich is also really good hear

Favorite meal is their chicken and rice. Upgraded review to 5 star because service has greatly improved. Everyone is always so kind and so happy my family was well fed during COVID closures.
I wish they closed at 9 not 8pm. Would be so perfect on the weekends

I was not impressed with the decor of the place or the food. The outside of the building and inside of the restaurant looked like an old 70s style office space with a small bank vault in one of the dining areas. The food looked Mexican but lacked flavor and texture of real authentic Mexican cuisine. This was like the Taco Bell of Mexican restaurant. Disappointed.

Finally found the perfect Mexican restaurant!
Food was bar none, from the chips and salsa to their soups and enchiladas meal... Not to mention their fresh made flour tortillas
Makes you want to tip them extra
They've got a new customer that will definitely keep coming back from two counties over.

Such good comfort food. Authentic? No, not really but tasty and good. Restaurant has a good atmosphere and they're take-out is fast and nicely packed. Service is always good. They seem to hire such nice people. Margaritas are SO GOOD. It's a long-standing place in Marysville for a reason.

Cheryl and I had take out from here the other day and it was amazing. The shredded beef flour taco is the best! The deluxe salad is awesome and always ice cold and extremely fresh. I always over eat on the salsa and chips. Never a bad time!

I'm vegan and although my waitress, Hunter, had no idea what that meant, she was determined to satisfy my experience and cater to my needs, among a table of 23 people. She's a rockstar and deserves a raise. I got a veggie fajita salad with boiled beans. I do wish that they offered more nutritious veggies, like broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, etc. Also, I ordered a "Skinny Margarita" during happy hour and iff was terrible. My stars go to Hunter, not the food or cocktail.

I've always enjoyed casa Carlos good food, nice service but my wife and I recently went to have lunch there and walked out with food poisoning. My wife is a chicken (only) eater and I'm a red meat eater so we don't share dishes, but when we started feeling sick we couldn't think of anything similar on each of our dishes that could've caused this, until later at home when the retching of cilantro came up. We both had chips and salsa which was the only thing we shared so clearly this was old salsa or wasn't made fresh with fresh ingredients (or someone didn't wash

Chicken fajitas were bland and tough. There was a salsa poured over the fajitas to disguise how bland they really were. Don't think I'll be back

Good classic California Mexican food. We stopped on our way back from Chico, later on a Saturday. A little worried, as it was far from busy.

However, having grown up in the central valley, Casa Carlos reminds me very much of the Mexican food we would get up and down the valley. Classic, tasty. The staff was friendly and food was served hot and quickly.

If you are looking for the nouveau cuisine, a burrito bar (like Chipotle), or a taqueria, this isn't really a good fit. However, if you are after the 2 or 3 item combination and a Margarita, this is pretty darn tasty.

Four stars would

I had the chili verde special. Flavor was good with just the right amount of heat. The staff here really makes you feel welcome. Very pleased with the service here. Who knew friendly service and good food would work. Apparently Casa Carlos does. Chips and salsa were basic affair but I will definitely be back here again.

It seems like almost EVERY time I go in there, the prices go up.
Yesterday, I went in there with a friend.

Normally, I either get a two item combo plate or the steak chicana.

Guess what?

The prices for BOTH are RIDICULOUS!
$15.99 for a two item combo?
OVER $16 for my other usual dish?
Over $3 just for a damn SODA?

Service was... Okay I guess. Took forever for the waitress to take our drink order.

Chips and salsa are still (imho) the best in town.

The food? While it was still tasty, it's not as good as it used to be. Not exactly fair that the quality of food has gone down while the prices

First of all, I will state that I'm giving them two stars instead of one, simply because the service was very good.

Unfortunately, the food is flavorless and crazy expensive. I got a chicken salad that basically consisted of bagged iceberg lettuce, with a few beans, corn kernels, and tomatoes scattered through it....topped with fried tortilla strips and some completely unseasoned chicken chunks. For $12! My husband had ONE taco with rice and beans on the side for $13. The prices are astounding here. Literally every Mexican restaurant in the area is cheaper and better. It's a shame because

Ok, so all my reviews start out with 5 stars and I remove a star for every negative I experience. As you can see I only took off 1 star. Actually took 2 off but I will get to that.

Firstly the positives. The restaurant is very clean. Didn't visit the restrooms but if the main dining room is any indication the restrooms would be just as clean. The dining room is large. Actually I think there are 3 separate dining rooms including the bar. Oh yah, there is a full bar there. We were sat right away and drinks ordered soon after being sat. The menu is extensive with even a couple American dishes

1st time in, was quickly seated and offered drinks. A look at the menu revealed a range of options, though not as much as the competition.

I settled on fajitas, and started with chips and salsa. Salsa was fresh and mild, and the chips were crunchy and plentiful.

The decor was average and the lighting overall was damp. Plenty of pictures and plants and lots of seating.

Food arrived, and I was excited about the sourcream and guacamole. The steak and chicken were fine, however there could have been better seasoning. The peppers and onions were best tasting eaten slowly and individually. The house
